ebay raised fees to 13.25 percent. Ebay is getting greedy. and of course Etsy will follow suit. Guess the ol post on FB is an alternative. You know I wouldn't object so much if EBAY went back to payment going instantly to paypal. NO they make you wait or if you want immediate payment, guess what. YOU GOTTA PAY FOR IT.

I guess some could make the same argument to those who charge a ridiculous amount of money to ship 4 matchbox cars. (SET) Unless they are filled with "Dark Matter" why else would one charge so much to ship?
edit- I do understand there are more than 4 cars being shipped but the shipping still is extremely high for something that can be shipped for much less.

Yes there are plenty of alternatives. Some charge and some are free. One should take advantage of various sales avenues, including using ebay.

Was surprised to see the date of your message, since that fee schedule isn't exactly new.

Oh dang you are going to be more upset. 13.25% is the percentage we've paid in the category you sell in since mid 2020. So 5 years later, yes Ebay made an increase. The new FVF is 13.6% How dare they need to increase fees after 5 years!?!?

Ebay is not the cheapest site to sell on nor is it the most expensive. If you feel you can get the traffic you get here elsewhere for less money, you should take a look at that.
FYI, that listing you have for sale with those vintage cars from 1968, you should really reconsider that insanely high shipping rate.

eBay is getting greedy?
Why is there $175 shipping fee on 4 Hot Wheel miniature toys (shipped from Indiana to my location in Texas)?

When I read that it was better than a triple latte, it really opened my eyes! 🙄

The switch from Paypal was several years ago by now. In e-commerce that is ancient history. You may not have noticed but this might make you feel a little better: your instant PP payment had their fees silently deducted (~3%) so you never even noticed them. Since the switch to MP most sellers are paying roughly the same in total fees as we were back then.
No idea about Etsy, but, isn't that irrelevant?

Guess you were doing this instead of paying attention to the many eBay Annoucements posted almost 5 years ago -
Ya' can't fly with eagles if you hoot with the owls.

Give the guy a break... he's only trying to offset those horrible eBay fees!
Plus, those cars get great gas mileage!

Its an entire vintage set and the box is huge and heavy. The shipping price includes the cars. Nice way to twist my auction to justify your comment.

Mam its not insane. Its a huge heavy box. Fed ex and UPS charge for size and weight.

Cmon. Its a box set. The shipping is not for four cars.
