I went to the e-Bay "live" in Chicago in 2008.  Even did the "Priority Pass" to attend the Keynote.

Went mostly to meet up with other Sellers who traveled to be there and we are in OH, so it was not a long distance to go to get there (we flew into Midway).

(btw Chris Isaak (sp?) was the performer and he might have been my highlight of the trip, minus meeting fellow PSers in Chi-town).

You paid actual money to go.  lol

It is 2021.  There are a couple of items on the Agenda I plan to tune into, if my day job does not get in the way.  Would I "pay" to go to one again?  Doubtful.  Not unless there are a few of us who still connect would plan to be there and then it would be more of a social trip, not an e-bay trip!

If you have not "experienced" it - you should.  There are always some "nuggets" from these.  You might glean something that helps your e-bay business.  (and there have been a lot of changes with more to come.  I am interested in the "more to come" and what the timeline(s) might be.  Would prefer they not "tweak" anything else before the 4th quarter/magic months, but am confident, they will).

Personally, I would not expect much beyond the hype and "what a bright future we have" type stuff

That would likely be the only reason I'd pay to go to an ebay "event" - likely won't even attend the event, meet in the bar, restaurant, check out the town... well at least I'm truthful 😆

There is one thing you can always rely on with ebay, quarterly "updates" are always changes, usually for the worst, and they love rolling out the "best" ones 4th quarter just to screw up xmas sales.

Same thing you'd expect at a Tupperware, Pampered Chef, Amway, Mary Kay or Thirty-One convention, or at a high school pep rally or a political rally.

Yes, current year is online only and you didn't pay anything for it. Previous years were in person.
