ebay, idea, Refund my the $1.49 to $2.00 Promoted Listing Fee I paid When I get Zero Promoted Looks

I resisted doing "promoted" listings because it is highway robbery, ebay doing what they should be doing in the first place, and more money on top of the 15% fee for final value, plus shipping, plus tax. I gave in and listed more than several items using "promoted listings" costing an additional $1.49 to $2.00 on top of the 15% ebay already grabs. I GOT NO PROMOTED LISTING LOOKS and probably less "organic" that would have occurred otherwise also in part to all the glitches constantly going on.
How abut this, when I pay for Promoted Listings and get no Promoted Listing Looks, ebay refunds me for the service they didn't provide. Yes, I know that I'm dreaming. So frustrated to not have items being seen.

@kbcate You have some great stuff...I love the WWII Patriotic jewelry. But I would think this is uncommon enough that using Promoted Listings Express on the auctions is probably a waste of time. I do wonder if maybe running some at Fixed price might not be a better experiment, but I'm not knowledgeable about the jewelry market, so that's just a thought, not based on my experience with the market.

You don't pay anything for PL unless it sells...did I miss something?

I believe the OP was using PL Express for auctions. You pay up front for that ... It would be nice if posters provided that info when they post.

Promoted listings express charges a flat upfront fee.

Growing up my mom would have classified your nice items as ‘luxury’ items, the alternative is ‘necessities’. Folks are buying necessities.  I would spend as little as you can on listings.  When you go to the grocery store you have a short list of what you need even though there is a huge space with lots of stuff for sale.  You pass the displays of bargains to get to the back corner where you find what you need.  IMO EBay works in the same way.  Mom also liked to say A Watched Pot Never Boils. Mom was pretty smart!!

Ebay can show your listings, but they can't make people actually look at them.

Have a great day.
