I read some articles saying a senior advisor in ebay is "seriously considering accepting Bitcoin" I've also read many articles saying Amazon has bought several Cryptocurrency domains. The main problem is the slow speed of sending Bitcoin from person to person. Come on ebay! make a power move! your sellers are behind you!

Well I'm no expert but I hear transactions are non reversible. But one of the main attractions of bitcoin is anonymity and for a buyer to show and prove to eBay that a seller received their payment the seller would have to reveal their wallet address to ebay. I could be wrong and maybe someone who knows more will come along soon.

At present I am not the least bit interested in owning any bitcoins. Old fashoined maybe in the fact that I prefer real money to flow from my pocket and from somebody elses as well. I read up on the Bitcoin system just now. Very convoluted and in my opinion, a really risky way to do business.

Well, boy goats are rude, but girl goats are just sweet. And I completely agree with naming the chickens!

But then, I agree with the sour mash option too. Will pass on the Luckys, unless they're vintage and can be sold on eBay.

I read a similar article back in 2014. Nothing will come of it. This is eBay posturing so they can seem hip.

Well, you have to admit that if the stock went up - like it did with Overstock - the management would be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO pleased. I don't think they figure it can go down too much.

Surely you do not think that eBay would allow buyers to send bitcoins directly to sellers???

If cryptocurrency remains viable and its base grows, of course eBay will have to consider accepting it, but I have no doubt that eBay will be getting the bitcoins, and everyday sellers will still get their money from eBay via paypal or other traditional methods.

So someone read someplace that an advisor to eBay (what's that?) is considering bitcoins. He also read somewhere that Amazon is making all these preparations for bitcoins.

No sources. No quotes from anybody at eBay or Amazon. No names.

I read someplace that the world is flat. Only slightly less reliable.

Secure, not reversible (unless the middlemen services like Lightning come into existence), high transaction fees for small transfers, moving target on price. A lot of problems as a payment method for doodads.
