eBay values - fraud and theivery

I sold an item which was delivered and proof of delivery was provided by USPS twice.  The buyer claimed they never received it and filed a case, the case was closed on my favor twice then reversed even after being told by eBay customer service that that decision was wrong and I would get my money back, they still charged me back.  I have since been charged 3 more times for the full amount from eBay and they are either so infuriatingly incompetent or pure evil to continue to steal money from me.  I am so tired of being given the run around and being given stupid canned responses.  I need the president of the company contact me to correct this and explain why they are so comfortable allowing this level of deceit, fraud and incompetence to thrive in the company

sorry to hear about your experience.

I have no power to help you...

The president of the company is unlikely to contact you over this issue.

It is also unlikely that they took back the money three times.  Once would suffice.

Where are you seeing that they charged you three times for one refund?

Did you send the item with signature confirmation? That is required for an item at that value.

If you could not prove delivery, then eBay, as stated in their user agreement, will take back the funds and refund the buyer.

If a buyer opens a claim such as not received, and you do not assist the buyer, eBay can step in and force a refund.

I am not shocked in the slightest that eBay would take it back three times. I have had numerous experiences with eBay that are absolutely maddening - only being properly resolved after I sent legal documentation to their legal team advising them of my next step (involves an individual in a black robe and a gavel).

The problem is not a complicated one and it has been clear as day in some of my experiences; The staff that handles these sorts of issues just does not put even the slightest amount of effort into finding the truth and they nearly always side with the buyer - even if you submit proof that leaves no doubt that the issue is the buyer's responsibility. They don't look at what you send, and getting them to is a challenging endeavor.

This simply is not the platform it was 20 years ago.

@ndrake0120

If a buyer files a Item Not Received case,  all the seller has to do is answer the case by confirming the tracking number. The tracking must show as "delivered".

In your case, the item looks to have a purchase amount of over $750. Those transactions must have a signature required upon delivery.

Did the buyer end up filing a payment dispute with their financial institution?

It is really hard to lose a Item Not Received case if you have tracking showing as delivered and a signature required.

How about sharing more details of exactly what transpired?

This isn't happening. This is a community where we answer questions and give advice. However I would still contact Ebay to resolve this issue on your account. What is happening is the buyer is contacting there payment source and trying to dispute the charge. It's a mess that will take awhile to clear up.

Pure evil?  That description goes with the assassins, murderers, drug cartels, rapists, and other scum out there.  A little strong to describe eBay.

If the item including shipping and taxes was over $750, you must have used a signatory service. If you did not, it’s an automatic loss period. If you did, then I can’t understand how you would have lost the case?

I learned MANY years ago............ on and off eBay that occasionally you simply have to eat it and move forward. Don't get worked up, don't waste your energy trying to right some wrong, etc....  Go take more photos of new products, list them and make some money.

It is a fact of being in business for yourself that things don't always go the way you think they should.

STOP WASTING YOUR TIME!
