"Reset your password to reactivate your account - we changed your eBay password because your account may have been accessed without your permission"
This was THIRD time in past 2 months this has occurred. The account was flagged in error because I'm using several different computers/phones with different OS's. For some reason their system won't remember my devices. I was told by customer service rep after the last account reset that if I added two-factor authentication this issue would be "permanently resolved."
Unfortunately this just happened again while I had 50 active listings. Many items had watchers and one had active bids. Once I called customer service I was able to login again but all listings were again moved to Ended Items. Fortunately my 35 drafts were still there. But NONE of the previous active listings can be accessed. In addition my feedback score dropped from 120 to 113. Also there are error messages in the seller account page and the help "automated assistant" shows an error and will not get an agent.
Customer service can't resolve the issue. They won't transfer me to a supervisor, and I'm told all the active items are "gone" and can't be relisted. In addition, I'm told the feedback score can't be fixed.
I have backups of most of the photos and all the drafts. But the text for the current listings is gone and I had no backups of the HTML for the active listings. So it will take a considerable amount of time to get them relisted.
This is a joke! Everything I've been told by customer service so far sounds way too dodgy. How can a company the size of eBay crash my account and not have recent backups and be unable to restore the listings? All my account information is now where it was 30 days ago.
Is there some way to get this fixed without redoing all the listings from scratch? How do I reach a supervisor who can get this fixed or at least help prevent it from reoccurring?
