They messed up my shipping label. Very simple request (my 5 yr old nephew can do it)
They broke their own company policies (They voided my shipping label without me agreeing to, which should not be allowed by ebay)
They refuse to admit their mistake and refuse to provide any help.
They have low standard customer service, keep hung up on me, and for that they charge me 12.9% sellers fee, without releasing my fund. They are stealing from people blind.

Could you come back and explain a bit more? Is it because they're holding the $1600 for the camera you sold? You do know this is policy with new sellers...
The funds you received from the sale are subject to 14-30 day holds. This is protocol for new sellers.
You agree to these conditions when you sign up to be a seller.
Funds are held to ensure there are no problems with the sale and if a return is filed for what ever reason, the funds will be available to refund the buyer.
Did they restrict your account? New sellers starting right off who sell high dollar items are under Ebays radar. It will set off red flags every time.
If you could come back and let people know exactly what the issue is, I'm sure there are others here who can advise you as to what your next step should be.

Not really. I am talking about the **bleep**ty customer service they provided. They themselves didn't really follow their rules but expect me so. They messed up my request and did something they are not allowed to according to their leadership's explanation. And the request is really easy. It's like asking a person to take the red ball, not the yellow ball, and throw it in the trash can. then ebay agent took both balls to the trash and come back to ask me why the balls are all gone..

How did Ebay mess up your shipping label?
Since you're a new seller, the funds for the camera will be held for 30 days, which you agreed to when you listed it.

Yes, customer service is poor at best and I agree you're spinning your wheels trying to get any info or help. They are outsourced overseas contract labor. They are poorly trained, paid and will give you scripted answers to move you on your way. As you've discovered their info is usually false and incorrect.
The bottom line is that you're going to have to wait out the 30 days. You've got a nice sale, just best to wait it out. You do need to ship the item. I'm still not understanding the voiding the label part. You can always take it to the post office and get the tracking number to make sure it's delivered. That's important.
Take a breath, calm down and just trust my and others advice here. Most of us have been selling on Ebay since Julius Caesar sold on ebay. We know what we're advising. It's the way it is.
Congrats on your great sale. It will come in handy at Christmas time.

since I bought labels from ebay, they are automatically applied to my item. I bought two of them since the first label I bought didn't contain enough insurance (and it's USPS, it could go wrong and I was previously scammed in this way on ebay) and I used the second label. Then to make sure there were no confusions I asked ebay if they can cancel or void my first label (actually they are not allow to), and instead they voided both of them. That's after I dropped it off in the mailroom. They will do anything but trying to bring it back (they voided it, they probably can undo it). So basically:
1. they did simple things wrong (I understand, we are all humans)
2. they refuse to admit (attitude problem)
3. they refuse to take any actions but ask me to figure it out myself (attitude problem)
4. they voided seller's shipping label which is against company's rule, and ebay just cares nothing except profit. Reasonable since they put limited funds on training and outsource CS overseas.
5. they still charge me 12.9% sellers fee. I am wonder what they did that deserve the money.
6. Customer service is **bleep**, if you ever called them you know.

Thanks. I know I can get the payment, very likely. It's just I can't believe ebay can mess up such simple requests and won't apologize like they really mean it or even admit it. I reached out to their "leadership" and got nothing more. They don't sound like oversea contractors and they are actually similarly rude. I even got a lady yelling at me since she can't hold until I finish my sentence.
I got coupons for compensation which means I need to keep the account open, buy things so they can keep ripping off from other sellers. They are making us look like a fool. I cannot trust them after all these happened. I've been on ebay for 10 years using another account. I know ebay was good back then. I didn't use ebay for recent 4 or 5 years and now it's totally different

1. they did simple things wrong (I understand, we are all humans) You only had to void the label yourself, no need to get eBay involved
2. they refuse to admit (attitude problem) As stated above, no need to involve them at all - and this is why it is best not to
3. they refuse to take any actions but ask me to figure it out myself (attitude problem) Sorry, but the answer I have given is correct, you could have sorted out yourself.
4. they voided seller's shipping label which is against company's rule, and ebay just cares nothing except profit. Reasonable since they put limited funds on training and outsource CS overseas. Rinse and repeat above answers
5. they still charge me 12.9% sellers fee. I am wonder what they did that deserve the money. They allow you to list items on a world wide platform with millions of buyers - and you agreed to the TOS
6. Customer service is **bleep**, if you ever called them you know. Can NOT disagree with that

Was not aware that eBay CS had the ability to "void"" a label.
When I void a label it is a "request" and the void does not take effect for 2 weeks,or longer. USPS wants to be sure the label is not used before refunding the payment.
Does not seem that it should/could void after acceptance.
Was your item returned to you?
11-05-2022 12:58 PM
Yeah if ebay messed up the label and voided it, either set up a label through pirateship.com or go to the post office and they can generate a label. Since this is high dollar, send signature required on delivery by adult only, and I would even purchase return receipt service, plus make sure its insured for the full amount. Pack it extremely well, way better than you think it needs to be. Even box in box might be needed, given the way packages are handled now. Take photos of your packing progress to have in case it gets damaged and the carrier needs evidence you packed it well, or they may blame you for not packing it well enough.
Its an important beginning sale for you. You can still get past ebays flub and make it work and be successful.

You can void your own labels, as it's automated. Now... move ahead to your shipment. Is there any tracking, or just a package floating around out there somewhere?
11-05-2022 01:32 PM
And don't forget insurance...$1600 item.
11-05-2022 02:03 PM
Thanks. The thing is in my portal there is no option to void shipping label, but everyone else said there is a button. I double checked. I also asked and no one knows why. Therefore I asked eBay to do it. There are inconsistencies internally in their business. Maybe someday they can come up with something else and charge us for contacting customer service I won't be surprised.

ebay is just a big bully from my perspective. Unless you are one of them, there is no need to find excuses for their **bleep**ty service and skyrocketed fees. From the service I got I 12.9 % is not reasonable. I tip iHOP 15% and they got my coffee right. And I can't think of a reason to hold the payment other than earning interests from it. eBay, how about next time you hold the payment for two years for buyer's limited warranty?
I won't list anything anymore. Now I have plenty of other choices. For anyone who wants to sell their personal stuff, just a heads up, eBay is definitely not with the sellers.

"... Now I have plenty of other choices...."
you may be in for a rude awakening, as well as having a bunch of stuff filling up your garage (unless you are selling specialty 'niche' items)....
chalk up another one to 'user error'
