Hi there. This is the first time I've posted any questions here, never knew this section existed. I've been selling on eBay for a little over two years, pretty much as a hobby- not as a "store" At what point should someone like me consider transitioning to a store. Is it about the number of items listed or dollar amount sold, or something else. Thank you for your time. C.

An eBay store is essentially a subscription that buys you a different fee structure and gives you access to some additional features. (Note I said "different" fee structure; because a store is necessarily "cheaper").
You must take the time to examine the pros and cons of a store, do the math, and decide whether it is worth it to you.

@carmoore-r0 Depends on where you want to go with this. A store has the advantages of markdown manager sales (so you can run sales) and a slight break in FVFs, plus a bit of a cohesive footprint to market yourself. The larger the store (and the more expensive the subscription), the more free listings you get, in case you really want to up your listing amount and expand. If those things matter to you, a store is a good option.
If you want to stick to having 150-200 items a month running and that's about it, then really a store isn't necessary.
I have a starter store because I like the markdown sale capability, and also the discrete footprint for marketing - I do social media but also I have people who actually shop my store (reportedly that's not common but I'm a niche seller and it is probably more so with us). My store is $4.95 month.
