I’m removing ALL items over 50.00USD  

This predatory rate is part of the metrics designed to rip - off honest sellers. I’ve had enough .

Yes, remove the truck first! If the fees were too much for a few hundred dollars, you're really not going to like the fees from that miscategorized 'for parts' vehicle.

Yes this weekend I will have time to go through my 600 listings and remove about 500 items placing them into my Etsy ,Mercarii ,Poshmark , and  FB Marketplace Shops .

my rating has never been below 96% for 7 years since beginning . I am now 97.6 and they are telling me I am below standard ? Letting me know that the feedback rating is NO LONGER INCLUDED in the metrics. Lol what should be the Bottom Line of metrics is NOT INCLUDED this is WRONG .

it has more to do with eBays GREED than protecting buyers and sellers . Presently Designing my webpage to open my own Online Store .

I think service metrics are to hold sellers to a high standard so that buyers have a good experience while shopping on ebay.

It is a mechanism for ebay to get more money out of a seller, as a form of punishment for being below average relative to mertics for other sellers in the same categories.

 

It wouldn't be an issue except for the times when a seller is unfairly dinged for something out of their control, like a delivery person not performing scans at critical points, or damage occurring during transit by the shipper, or the ebay system not talking to a carrier's system and it affects your order metrics.  Further it wouldn't be an issue if ebay would work to remove those unfair dings, but they aren't normally inclined to correct the false dings.

Feedback is not included in the metrics, seriously. If you're being hit with 6% penalty fee or whatever, it's something else, and is going to be here.

You should look at your Seller Level to figure out where you went Below Standard.

Feedback ratings have been meaningless for years. Fewer and fewer buys leave FB every year. 100% FB rating is far from a guarantee of a satisfactory transaction.

 

Sellers who have a below standard seller level should pay extra for the damage they do the site and every other seller.

EBay is big on Buyer Satisfaction and the Money Back Guarantee is slanted, unfairly or fairly, to make buyers happy.

One way to do that is to make it very very easy to open a Claim.

If a buyer is unable to work out how to open a Claim and goes for feedback complaints instead, that is a customer who is either too angry or too dumb to figure out the system that would get them a refund.

 

Negative feedbacks in my opinion hide the Claims that have been made and won, but which eBay keeps private.

Yes the two transactions were a courier issue . Had nothing to do with me. Yet my rating went below standard, which is a way they take advantage of Sellers , basically stealing from them. under the guise of a poor performance.

  It's as transparent as hell, anyone can see it is -GREED.- eBay is using the metrics in place to establish a way to steal from sellers . I'm working too hard to accept this from them -rip me off like this!  The couriers forget to scan, I suffer setbacks All of my 3 defects are courier related!.

ebays lack of righteous indignation at my financial  Loss is reprehensible, appalling.

Yeah, I'm going to cut my losses remove all items over 50.00 USD schedule time away .

The Greed of the platform is out of hand . I'm suffering on this site eBay offers NO protection for my start up, rather eBay has consistently undermined my achievements . Raising fees for circumstances I have no control over > I'm over it. and am going to be  off the platform . Ive complied a long list of Cons .- no Pros exist.

I would Never return . Not as a Buyer or Seller.

Your current issue has NOTHING to do with your feedback rating.  Thinking that it does tells me that you don't understand how the Service Metrics works, if in fact that is what caused your current issue of penalty fees.

 

The Service Metrics is tracking your INADs and INRs, no matter the reason they were opened [other than buyer's remorse] or the outcome of it.  With INADs, you would have to have a minimum of 10 of them in a single category for this policy to kick in and if you were shown to be higher than your peers, then you can get the penalty fees for any sales you have in the SAME category that your ran into this issue on.

Or are you having issues on your Seller Dashboard?  The email that you got telling you that you are going to be charged the penalty fees would have told you where you got into trouble.  Here is a link so you can check your Dashboard.

Greed is a funny word to use here.  Yes Ebay is a for profit company, so yes they want to make money.  Yes sellers come here to sell stuff and also make money.  It is what we are here for and so is Ebay.

 

Once you zero in on what you actual issue is on your account, the easier it would be to advise you.  

 

If you want, copy the body of the email into a post here but black out any personal info.  That is likely the easiest way to figure this out.  To work out of the problem, you must understand what the problem actually is.

 

FYI  These things were created to keep sellers selling responsibly and taking care of their buyers.  I firmly do not like the Service Metrics, but we have to deal with it.

From what I see on the threads, it is mostly INADs that get sellers into trouble with the Service Metrics.  I know INRs can, but I haven't seen a seller come to the Community describing that.  Certainly their could be some, but what I see it is mostly INADs.
