eBay selling history

Is there a place to search for selling history on an item. Another words if I had an item that a similar one had been sold several times over the last 10 years, is there a place to see what the average selling price was?

You can check previously sold items by just doing a normal search, like you would if you wanted to shop for the item.

Now go down the left rail of different filters.  Towards the bottom there will be one for SOLD items.  Check that box.

can't go back 10 yrs, unless you want to check your paypal records (don't know how far those go)......you can get more results than the 90 day solds thru Terapeake (go to Seller hub, research) and type in the item name......

@newmsliam,

The sold-items search on eBay is unreliable. It only goes back 90 days, and does not include many listings.

Terapeak (eBay Research, in the seller hub) is much more useful. It goes back up to 2 years. Results older than that probably aren't relevant any more to current prices.

There was some website that showed sold prices for toys. I am not sure if its' good for other items. It had a name like WORTHPOINT.    Does anyone know if this name is correct?

The Google Lens is good to identify an item. It will then show you other websites where you can buy that item. Perhaps if you see the item in 5 spots and all have the price of 20.oo, that is enough for you to determine a value for the item.

Download the Google App on a phone or tablet.  Then go to the Google app. Click the little icon that looks like a camera and snap a photo of the item.  Make sure that the surrounding area is clear so that ONLY the item is in focus.   Think of this as "face recognition" for an object but it will help you get a ballpark figure.

@newmsliam ,

If it is a graded sports card from PSA you can go to their website and they keep records going back more than 10 years for ebay sales as well as sales on other venues like  Heritage auctions.

I believe they do it for graded coins too.
