I sold something on eBay and the buyer returned it completely cut up and take apart and now unusable whatsoever and I the seller am screwed out of $980 and they won’t do anything about it. I’ve contacted them hundreds of times through Facebook and Instagram and they’ve blocked me so I’m currently making about 20 new Facebook groups, pages, and profiles recommending not to use eBay. I’m to the point where I called them every five minutes just to bug them. I’ve Contacted better Business Bureau, and trust pilot and I’m willing to spend thousands just to sue them for my money back. Has anyone else dealt with this? I need help because I will stop at nothing to get my money back from these scam artist. They have no idea what this has done to me and my financial situation. #ebay @eBay

Well, spending thousands to get your $980 back certainly sounds like a good idea and should help your financial situation.

I assume ebay refunded the buyer and you claim the item was returned to you damaged?
How does ebay know that the item was returned to you damaged?
Maybe that's how you sent it out?
They don't know.
That's why they find in favor of the buyer.
Why would you spend thousands of dollars to try and recover $980?
You'll be out more than $980.

I'm guessing it's the item you left feedback for?
is that a stock photo you used?

It's a he said / she said at this point. That feedback you left won't help either. They might have considered a no fault refund but with the way your handling this I don't think so.

If you are so upset with ebay, why do you still have 81 active listings?

How did eBay rip you off? It is the buyer that ripped you off. You should be going after the buyer. This is a classic case of he said she said.
If you feel strongly that the buyer damaged your item you can always file a case small claims court. Maybe you can convince judge Judy to take your case. A he said she said case like this should make good TV.

Suggest you try to get an audition for at least one of or all of the those "Judge Judy" like TV shows - there are 3 or 4 and tell them your situation - they will fly you there, put you up in a nice hotel for you ll be on TV all for no charge and "might" get you a $5K IF you win.
Secondly, you aught to look and read the User Agreement you agreed to the see what eBays says about taking legal action against them. https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/member-behavior-policies/user-agreement?
Have A Good Day & Time - Hope to see you on TV

Why do you still have listings up for sale? Next time, come here for help processing a return before it becomes a major issue for you. Folks here can walk you thru it and limit the financial damage.
At this point, it is obvious to you that the way you handled this last case does not work well. Give yourself a chance next time and come here 1st for assistance.

Sorry to hear that you have lost so much money.
Unfortunately, every seller has lost money at one time or another on eBay. That's the nature of the beast.
Instead of exerting so much energy (BBB, FB groups, phone calls) in what will prove ultimately to be a completely fruitless attempt at vengeance, I'd suggest focusing instead on recouping your recent loss by stepping up your sales.
Since opening your eBay account in 2020, have you not made sufficient profit to compensate for this most recent loss?
That may seem to be beside the point, but I tend to approach this issue of "unfairness" philosophically, since that is in effect our only option.

What you describe is harrassment at its best. Do you honestly think eBay will help you after all you have done and said? I don't know if eBay can suspend a seller from selling for doing harrassment like that but if they don't, you are lucky in that respect.
If you are going to continue to sell on eBay, and I assume you are because your listings are still up, you need to learn how eBay's Money Back Agreement works. You need to understand that buyers lie, buyers tear up things and then return them, and buyers return things other than what they received. A seller can say No Returns in their listings but that does not mean no refunds. And because eBay wants happy buyers, they will almost always side with the buyer. If you are going to sell those pricy items, it might be better to sell them locally on FBMP or CL for cash. Then you won't have to worry about problems like this.

Here is what eBay's seller protection policy says:
An item is returned after it was used or damaged by the buyer
Sellers who are not Below Standard are eligible for this protection for listings that offer free returns. If you accepted a buyer's return request but the item is returned in a different condition than it was originally sent:
Nowhere does it say you will be refunded for the item. Did you offer free returns? If so were you able to deduct 50% from the refund after it was returned?
I’m willing to spend thousands just to sue them for my money back
Make sure you check the eBay user agreement, and check the laws in the jurisdiction, to make sure you will not be responsible for eBay's attorney's fees if you lose. That might be tens or hundreds of thousands, not just thousands.

Sorry this happened to you... not sure how EBAY ripped you off. It sounds like the BUYER ripped you off

Can you think of a reason why they might have blocked you?
Seriously, it sounds like you're going to get yourself kicked off one or more platforms for good.
