eBay reposting my items and charging insertion fees! Please stop!

I have hundreds of listings and I would like to know if I can NOT have eBay relist my items. I have a set price for most items just to be able to sell more without paying insertion fees. I just got charged almost $9 for listings eBay relisted! I want them to end and I will repost. If I’m over my 250 I will not list anymore until the following month! This is really not the way to do this EBay.!!!

You can control this when you are making a listing.

There is a check box that says something like "we can relist this item for you up to 8 times automatically....."

If you don't want the item to relist, make sure the box is not checked.

Then if the listing ends without selling, it will go to your "unsold" column in My Ebay Summary where you can pick it up again if you wish.

Switching to a Basic Store instead of a Starter store might be your answer.  Depends on which categories you use.

You might not realize that since 2019 all fixed priced listing relist forever every month whether you like it or not.

It's a horrible policy called GTC  'Good Till Cancelled' that replaced the old school fixed price listing durations.

Depending on the category you will be charged for items that relist and not for others.

To refute my own statement that GTC is horrible I must say that with a Basic store you get 10,000 extra free listings in the collectibles category.  This saved me as I list almost exclusively in the collectibles category.

When I downsized my store last year I did get caught with hundreds of extra relisted items that cost me around $80 one time.  That was a lesson learned and I was pleased to get the extra 10,000 listings each month so I have a buffer to make it impossible to go over my listing limit.

IF you dont want the item to relist you, the seller, must end the items...

Thats how GTC items work. Otherwise any listing over your allotment will incur a fee.

This cannot be controlled for a buy it now listing. At the end of 30 days they automatically relist unless you go in and manually and end them.

This does not affect me as i have multiples of all of my items, but there used to be a box you ticked to get Good Till Cancelled ? you used to be able to untick that box and your listings just timed out and ended after the 30 days (month). Is that not available any more ?

Sorry, long time since I have bothered to look.

That hasn't been available since they went to all GTC.

Have a great day.
