Sold an item on eBay buyer said he didn't receive the item a month later. Never sent me an email about not receiving it or anything. Seller opened a case a month later. I hadn't been on the computer due to family reason for a couple weeks and see that they charged my account and refunded sellers money. I call eBay tell them my story I even went to ups and got paper confirmation saying seller received the item a month ago. It's a shame that I've been a member for 17 years and this is what they do unreal eBay. Also to note that the seller was even selling the item I sold to them on here!!!! Unreal, any adivce for me?

EBay has a very broad buyer protection program which requires sellers to respond within very specific timeframes. Unless you respond within the case (in the resolution center) with the details (your defense specifics) then there is nothing what can or will do.
I am sorry you lost the case, but I do not think there is anything ebay can do outside the case time limitations

Not to downplay what happened, but 17 years worth of ebay should have provided a clue as far as "disconnecting" for a bit. Of course, with the long times allowed to file for a return/refund between ebay and paypal, those 30-180 days can be spent doing much better things!
Now, if you were the vengeful type (don't believe you are) could repurchase the item, file and SNAD, and go through that process. May end up with both your money back, and the item. Thus, back to square one. Everyone's happy.
Naaaaaaaaah.

ebay cannot be faulted for you being away from your computer for a few weeks. I am an old fogey without a smart phone or a tablet, but if I am unable to check my emails for more than two days for whatever reason, I have someone else do it.
