eBay motors …listing failed to post. Unknown internal error

I’ve tried all morning to post my van for sale, but I keep getting a generic message “listing failed to post” and “unknown internal error”. 

I don’t see anything I’ve left out. I’ve got payment info set up via PayPal. 

any ideas?

Should you maybe have registered for Managed Payments?

It might be the payment info. I don't think vehicles can be limited to PayPal payment, no?

I added another payment option to my account. It’s still not posting my listing. 

I didn’t accept anything else on payments. No deposits, no escrow (I’m an individual who’s never sold a vehicle on eBay before, so adding those options felt so much more complex).  No auction, just buy it now. I was hoping  to “figure it out” once someone was interested and actually opted  to buy the van.

Were you invited to Managed Payments and forgot to register? 

Basically PayPal is not the default payment processor for eBay anymore  and it is Managed Payments and can cause errors like you are seeing

or is the price of the vehicle above you're seller limits?

^^^ I'm with @coastaltechsolution then. You'll have to sign up for Managed Payments. I don't know how to do that without an invitation from eBay. Hmmm... 🤔

I’ll try out the link. I don’t anything about managed payments. I never got any messages about that, just deposits and escrow, but no info on how to set that up.

No luck. The link didn’t get me to anything active that I can edit. 

I’m not a regular seller/business. I’m just an individual with one vehicle to sell.

Then I believe the wall you are hitting is Managed Payments as PayPal is not an accepted payment processor for eBay anymore (in 99.8)   of sellers now

You will need to contact eBay Customer Service before you can sell 

On eBay home page go to bottom and look for Help/Contact

I removed my PayPal payment option and added a credit card to pay for the listing. It still didn’t post. 

I can’t find anywhere to add my bank account info. I’m on the mobile app (iOS). I wonder if linking to my bank account requires a desktop browser to perform?? 

This is frustrating.

I would try a computer browser as I think the Apps are limited to what you can do

Especially when trying to contact support
