ebay is clearly not doing nearly enough during this global pandemic to prevent unethical sellers to take advantage of buying up essential items like toilet paper and paper towels, etc and selling them at outrageous prices on their platform. Sure they have a report button but there is no option to clearly report PRICE GOUGING and even if you do manage to find a way to report it as illegal activity or whatever, literally nothing seems to happen. I've reported the same listing for a $7,000 4-pack of charmin toilet paper multiple times over two days and it's still up.
Allowing this behavior is proof that ebay is complicit in this illegal behavior and should be shut down by our government. I don't know about you but I've had it with eBay's completely unacceptable behavior when we are all suffering though this terrible crisis. Enough is enough.

Yes they will, the wealthy people. That's why there are stereos for $100 and then the same stereo for $9,000 with multiple sales. Many, many, people with Mommy and Daddy's credit cards that don't even care about prices because they're rich kids.
In my experience rich people are even more frugal than poor people. The rich don't get rich by spending money.

Another example of the complete lack of remorse or guilt of a typical enay price gouging hoarder. You own this eBay. Congrats.
note I messaged him in a non-illegal listing because at the time I got his others removed but eBay still lets him be active.
Actually, what you're doing is called harassment and it is illegal.

Maybe we as a community can all report this seller until ebay gets off their you know what and enforces their owN rules for once.
Its not a felony. Additionally, you're harassing sellers and inciting others to do the same. If I were you, I would stop what I was doing before someone actually files a criminal case against you.

Says the seller that is currently listing paper towels at price gouging levels. You are the problem and you’re reported and I’ll be following and reporting any illegal item you post here on out.
More stalking and harassment.

This is precisely the type of price gouging for which Attorney General Barr created our nationwide task force," said Craig Carpenito, head of the Justice Department's nationwide COVID-19 Hoarding and Price Gouging Task Force. "The Department of Justice will not allow greedy profiteers to take advantage of the public during this health crisis."

I totally agree that Ebay is NOT doing their part by removing the price gougers/sellers from their listings. I have been reporting price gouging of ie:Caviwipes, Lysol and Clorox wipes for weeks now and see the same sellers, even some brand new sellers ALL continue to list their price gouging items. Ebay should pay ME for doing THEIR jobs and I would do it the Right and Honest way and I would get it done. Enough of my rant...lol...this is just disgusting of how Ebay really doesn't care. I too tried to list an item, although I have been a buyer and really never sold anything, and was denied to sell because of price gouging??? HUH???? makes absolutely NO SENSE. Ebay does NOT adhere to their price gouging policy.

What they're doing is making it very hard for buyers that truly need these items to get them in many cases and making it impossible for sellers to comply to invisible standards that are ever-changing and make no sense. Actual buyers aren't even reporting it's mostly other sellers competitors with hosts of alt accounts and the occasional karen/kevin that doesn't understand the dynamics of the aforementioned.

Um, actually, yeah. That's fundamentally the point of anti-price-gouging laws. You make it painful when caught. You deny that person access to a marketplace where they can continue to engage in those actions and punish them for the ones that have already occurred.
