eBay customer service

Why is it so difficult to get customer service? I wrote this about a half hour ago and have not seen it come up for discussion. I called today and waited 25 mintes before hanging up. I called back about ten minutes later a waited 35 minutes before hanging up. Why is it so difficult to get customer service from eBay?

Re: eBay customer service

Are you referring to feedback or product information.

If the latter, do not use sell similiar when making your listing.

Re: eBay customer service

Thanks. At least I know why was given a 1 for a product rating when it didn't deserve it. A few people that I ave communicated with wonder why eBay doesn't hire people who understand the particular area that they are servicing such as baseball card grading.

Re: eBay customer service

Because there are too many people who call about every little thing, people who make up issues, people who don't know policy and then argue with the reps who also don't know policy.

The list goes on...

Yes, my problem is that a person gave me a 1 rating saying my baseball
card was overgraded when it is a PSA 10 and was graded by a professional company. Yet that person's statement went right on my selling listing, and I wasn't even aware of it.

bnovick,

Here is the specific eBay listing that I believe that product review was applicable:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1972-Topps-123-Ed-Acosta-NM-D109305/191729157767?epid=169843730&hash=item2c...

Look carefully along the lower left edge just above the corner of the card to see the ding and then read the reviewer’s comment.

It’s INCREDIBLY STUPID of eBay to put a product review on another seller’s eBay listing when the product review isn’t applicable.

Re: eBay customer service

Re: eBay customer service

You used to be able to opt out, but ebay ended that.

Now you can't.

But as I said I thought it was posted that you will not get it if you do not use sell similar.

Re: eBay customer service

There is a site called gethuman.com that will give you the best phone number to talk to an actual person with various large companies. Try it out.

Product reviews are linked to the corresponding (supposedly) product page.
