Wow, shocker. I thought they were all in on Managed Payments. Coming in April … will there be customers though?

I should have cut it out of my screen shot , Sorry

Now I know why every time I have to log into Ebay they keep dinging me for my mobile phone number. And I keep hitting later or not now (can't remember which it says). How long before they require us all to have a mobile number on our accounts?

I just attempted to find mine - I was only able to find the google pay w/my debit card #. If I stumble upon it, I'll post back

I found the link SUPER helpful, thanks for posting it. I guess I could pay/receive payments on it. There was this number (that I will not reprint here) that I guess is the merchant number? I also need to see their terms/conditions on receiving payments.

Adyen/ebay processes on the back end for the SELLERS
Apple Pay is already part of Managed Payments. Google Pay will be added in April sometime I think. But only a few sellers currently offer Managed Payments, that was part of the deal between PP and ebay when they broke up. A max of 5% of payments can be processed through June or July of this year, then it gets bumped up to 10%, then next year some time it goes up to 100%. The deal was designed to give PP more time to wean themselves from over-dependence on ebay.
Later this year, PayPal will become part of Managed Payments, and I'd guess some others might be added as the year goes on.
What sellers need to understand: Once MPs is sitewide, buyers will be able to choose among a number of ways to pay. As a seller, I won't need a Google Pay account to accept Google Pay....that's where Adyen comes in. Buyers will have MORE choices, which will probably bring more buyers to the site, and at the same time, sellers will need only their ebay account to handle payments from a host of options.
I think ebay sellers are so used to PayPal being the only way here, and so used to PayPal being on both the buyer and seller end, that they have trouble grasping that when this changes, PP will be available on the buyer end, but the payments will be distributed to us directly, not through PP...and that will be true whether the buyer used a cc, GooglePay, PayPal, or whatever....

Yep Adyen has the ability to accept a lot of different types of payment methods.
This is the one area where I feel that Pay Pal has fallen behind over the past few years.
Here is a list of just some of Adyen's more popular payment methods that they can accept on behalf of eBay and its sellers.
As far as I am concerned the more payment methods that prospective buyers can use to purchase my goods here on eBay, the merrier.

Just want to add, I believe PayPal is currently scheduled to be put back into Managed Payments sometime this summer. This being eBay, that time period is not carved in stone, but my guess is they'll have PP back by end of summer/early Fall at the latest. At which point I might even accept their invitation to try MPs.
I just wanted to add to this post and although I do not know the reason why it is taking a long time to incorporate paypal into managed payments, the issue might be on paypal's end as well as eBay's end? Paypal is designed to process payment and deposit in account holders balance, where now the path is completely different for them and eBay.
Good Luck Selling!

Could it have something to do with those new type accounts PayPal is setting up as a part of your current account? I noticed that one of them has the ability to direct deposit right into that account. Will those PayPal accounts be like a virtual bank account?

I do not know? I have not looked at any of the new things being talked about in this area? My guess about the delay is opening up the paypal security sector to a third party (Adyen)? International laws, setting up a billing system, lots of things will be different?

Agree. Once Pay Pal has been intergrated into managed payments, I to will more than likely accept eBay's invitation into managed payments.
While it is not a deal breaker for me I do hope that eBay will have the purchasing of postage exclusion as well as well the global shipping program exclusion intergrated by this summer.
On a different note I visited the same Adyen "popular forms of payments" a year ago that I provided a screenshot for in my previous post and Pay Pal was listed as a popular form of accepted payment. But Pay Pal has been removed during that period. Pal Pal is still listed on Adyen's larger and more detailed accepted forms of payments page they just are no longer featured on the "popular forms of payments" page.
