At the top of my listings under condition, ebay adds information that is incorrect. The same verbiage is added to "Sellers Notes" in the Item specifics. It appears to be something that has been taken from a completely different listing! Unfortunately, it gives the wrong impression of the subject listing. Here is an example:
374173166954 (Closed, just sold)
You can see in the body of the listing where I have described the condition of that listing and it in no way is the same as what ebay added.
It doesn't happen in all of my listings but it is random and I don't want to have to guess to which listings it has happened nor do I want to continually go through all of my listings to see if incorrect info has been added.
Anyone have any idea of how it is happening and how to prevent it? Thank you!

are you using any kind of template/or using an old listing and just correcting it........ are you using a UPC code?

I use AuctionWizard on my local machine and then upload my listings from that so I am not using ebays listing template or correcting old listings. However, I never put description information in those fields anyway. The only thing I ever put is "please read description/see photos"
I do use the UPC code. Is it possible ebay is getting the description information I have entered in the BODY of my listings, using it in their catalogue and then adding that information to the fields Seller's notes and Condition at the top of the listing in subsequent listings with the same UPC?
Sound quirky but you never know with ebay
