eBay account restrictions

Hello eBay community. 

Your account has been restricted, BBE . 

Before ending my listings i have contacted eBay customer service representative, i have faced issues with Jordan Post shipping. 

Then I have ended all listed coins as they said. 

Now i have a permanent restriction and below standard performance. 

I have contacted eBay support now and they said that my account will be permanently restricted.

Any way to reinstate my account.

Cancelling 8 orders is why your account is closed.

Informing buyers is no consolation.

In about a year from when you exceeded the threshold for cancellation your account might be reinstated or in a year from when the last cancellation occurred.

You are not worthy of Ebay's trust based on your performance.

When a transaction is canceled, that tends to disappoint buyers and tends to erode the overall reputation of the site.

eBay has made it very clear they want to weed out sellers who fail to deliver and risk disappointing sellers. And they do not care WHY this happens, they only care THAT it happens.

If these 8 cancellations resulted in transaction defects that put you below standard, IMHO there is almost no hope of recovering your account.

I'm not happy with any cancellation . But I really have faced some shipping issues with Jordan Post.

I'm ancient coins seller and the Jordanian Law prohibited selling ancient coins.

Then they have blocked me from sending items, now my issue fixed and i can ship again

I believe I may have advised this in the past concerning your selling issue.  

What you can do is reach out on social media via Facebook:

These agents are US CS eBay employees and may better serve you and your situation.  Many positive posts with their ability to be helpful.  In the past they were helpful concerning my issue at hand.  Contact them today and see what they can do you.  Hopefully a positive outcome.

That's not here though. This is a member-to-member forum, not a way to reach eBay customer service.

You need to use the link at the bottom of the message they sent you ... see this screenshot you posted before.

There is your problem, the email from ebay says it too:

Each cancellation causes you to be issued a defect, you have received too many defects.
You cancelled too many sales.

I am afraid your account will not be reinstated.

Pardon my saying, but this goes far beyond  a shipping issue. As you stated, there are legalities to be considered. Jordanian law (article 28-i of antiquities law) says that buying, selling and shipping antiquities, including coins, is illegal in Jordan, punishable from 2 months to 2 years incarceration.

In addition, the US has import restrictions on ancient coins, though enforcement may be spotty (plus, a recent bill to loosen the restrictions was introduced in July). The US and Jordan have an agreement to regulate the importation of its archeological and ancient goods that specifically includes coins.

To import restricted coins into the United States, you may need: 

• An export certificate. 
• Proof that the coins were outside the country or exported at least 10 years before the import. 
  
• Additional documentation, such as auction references from before the regulation's effective date or the correct customs codes.
