Hi everyone,
I am beyond excited about the new eBay shipping method to give sellers a cheaper alternative for cards under $20. A lot of what I recently started selling fall right into this category.
One of my biggest painpoints thus far is providing free shipping without the fear of having to refund someone who isn't necessarily interested in waiting. I am a new seller, and the holiday season forced me to refund many people since the delivery times were delayed across the US. From an eBay POV of the seller, there was no tracking number and the buyer would deserve the refund if they hadn't received the item.
Does anyone have an idea of when this shipping method will become available? The article its mentioned in states in January, but was hoping to get a specific date to prepare my policies.
Thank you!

That's great news! Wouldn't be the first time Griff was misinformed.

I see it as a shipping option in the listing form under "Standard Services"----"ebay Standard Envelope for Trading Cards up to $20 (2 to 5 business days)"
Woo-Hoo!

Hooray! So I guess the next question is, what happens if the winning bid ends up being $21? I guess that means this option won't be available for the buyer to select afterward?

More likely: The buyer can select it (and pay its price) but then it won't be available when the seller goes to purchase their postage label. Comparable to sellers being able to offer Media Mail whenever they want, but eBay limiting the categories where sellers can actually purchase MM labels.

I see it when making new listings or revising existing listings. I am unable to select it retroactively when preparing already sold cards for shipment however....

I have the option in the listing but when sold..there is no option to print the label for it. First Class Package is still the cheapest showing for label printing.

I am just curious about what kind of envelopes people are using to ship cards out with this new service. I use 6” x 8” Paperboard Mailjacket Envelope (No padding) but I am not sure how this going to work with USPS. Was this shipping service mainly for people that ship in PWEs? Thanks!
