I sold a purse, in excellent condition on eBay. Not new but in great shape. Buyer didn’t want it. Fine. I offered to refund and asked them to send it back. They asked for a paid return label which I don’t think is fair. Also I could not figure out how to send a label on eBay. Now eBay has fully refunded the buyer and I don’t have my item back. So frustrated!

Don't forget to close your (2) listings. And if you want to stop receiving advice in this thread, go up to your original post, click the arrow in the top-right, click 'Report inappropriate content' (not that it's actually inappropriate; it's just the only way to flag the mods). Type in the box: "Please close thread to further replies."
You can get all the help you need here in the Community, to run a very successful business on eBay. But if you've already decided from this one instance where your ignorance cost you, that the whole platform is unfair and you want nothing more to do with it, then we should not be left thinking this is a 'live' problem thread needing help.
Good luck out there, wherever you go.

Yes, I responding and accepted the return request through the order (not a message). It said on eBay that a shipping label was sent but buyer kept saying “send a paid shipping label.” I did not so she asked eBay for help somehow and then I opened a request for help from eBay. Then they put the order on hold while they were investigating. Yesterday they paid her claim in full … and I guess she gets to keep the handbag.

I don’t want to run a successful business on eBay. I just wanted to sell a few things.
Hopefully the other helpful responses on here will help others who may be “ignorant” to eBay policies.
