eBay Authenticity Guarantee Program - Seller's responsibility after shipping?

I sold a pair of sneakers, old sneakers I bought but never ended up wearing. I don't typically sell that type of merchandise and I created the listing before this program was developed but got opted into it regardless.

What is my responsibility after mailing to the authenticity center? What if the package gets damaged after they reship it?

And who pays for the second leg of shipping (authenticity center to the buyer)? This was a "Free shipping" listing so I'm covering the cost of the leg from my shop to the authenticity center but I want to see if I'll get billed for the second leg.
