eBay Arbitrarily Relisting

I never auto relist my store items. Now I can't stop eBay from just doing it.

eBay Arbitrarily Relisting

I'm having the same issue. I bulk edited back in June (after the lost photos glitch) to removed GTC and put everything on 30 days. I relist one by one each month to make sure all is well (sometimes I find missing details, or they are no longer mobile friendly). This method was working fine (although time consuming) until August 31st when 14 items auto renewed, and I was charged for them as I have downgraded stores.

I called CS and asked why those items are now back on GTC? He didn't really have an answer for me. Told me I should bulk edit again, which I did try several times, but it will not update 54 of my listings (which are all showing GTC!) because they have pending offers?? It's crazy. I am now ending items manually every day before they renew. I spend way too much time working on eBay for no more than I am now making per month!

eBay Arbitrarily Relisting

I had an issue seven days ago about a duplicate listing. Their duplicate listing catch obviously does not work so be careful if you list manually and are called away for some reason. With 450+ I relied on EBAY catching a listing if I tried to post say again within a short time. They then found a couple of listings that were duplicates and put me on restriction for seven days. I called and they lifted it but I still could not see my items......then I noticed that my Categories where all screwed up. I called explained about restriction and they said no it was lifted not the problem - relist your items $$$ for EBAY. During this time I noticed that items which I ENDED - were showing up in the items I could view. If I would have gone and reposted again .... I would be hit with a duplicate. Been selling on EBAY for over 10 years and a TOP RATED seller with great feedback but this is terrible. Don't you think they should have a report we can run to look for duplicates in these type of cases. After Holidays I will be looking for new venue. They kept telling me to relist which I did and it cost me lots of money.

There is a new checkbox in listings under returns - see below 'Automatically relist..." i have never checked it but found it checked on several of my items that were also auto relisting.    just revise your listing and uncheck the box.

  _____Domestic returns accepted
   _____International returns accepted
Returns will not be accepted unless you select domestic or international return options above. The item can always be returned if it doesn’t match the listing description. Learn more
____Automatically relist this item up to 9 times if it doesn't sell. Fees may apply for each relist.

Automatically relisted items count toward limits on monthly free insertion fees. Insertion fees apply when you exceed the limit. Advanced listing upgrade fees and final value fees still apply.
( its not letting me copy the check mark boxes in above  but you will see them in your listing when you go to revise.
also you can do it in bulk- here is the directions from Ebay ( i did not try it)
How to remove automatic relisting

To remove the automatic relist option in Seller Hub:

  1. Find the Active listing.
  2. Check the box beside the listing.
  3. From Actions, select Remove Automation rules
  4. Select No rule.

If you're using the advanced listing form you can also deselect Automatically relist this item up to 8 times if it doesn't sell in the listing form.

Same here with listings both sold and duplicate have happened to me. Yesterday I had 2 items that sold and were no not relisted sell again and this morning I had my new listings duplicate and cause the duplicate listing letter. I am tired of fighting all the glitches to sell on eBay. When my store contract comes to an end I am not renewing.

I'm frustrated with this new relisting format. I have gone in and checked to "not relist" the item, yet it still shows up newly listed, for which I must pay the fee. I'm a 20+ year seller here on Ebay and these new "features" are frustrating!

The directions above are fine except when you click on no rule, it will not go to the page to take care of the issue (https://K2b-bulk.ebay.com. I am angry. I did not ask for these automatic relistings and I do not want to pay the insertion fee.

I am having the same problem.  I have to keep checking my auctions now to make sure that auto relist box does not have a check in it.  It pops up even after I remove it....very frustrating!  I did go to Active listing and  checked remove automation rules and the checks keep coming.  This is such a hassle as things relist that I do not want relisted.  I dont ever want anything automatically relisted.  If anyone finds a way to stop it please let me know.

It appears ebay is adding the Best Offer option to fixed priced listings and auto relist if you are using the Quick Listing Tool.

To remove that option, go to My ebay > Sell > Active > More actions > Revise

You will now have to switch to the advanced listing form with more choices. That option is in the upper right corner. Once you switch, you will be able to scroll down and uncheck the Best Offer option and auto relist.

Yup I had this issue as well as a few relists randomly become Good Until Cancelled, which I have never done before. I am also having issues with drafts that I set the Best offer price, save the draft, add photos and when I go to list eBay has decided my minimum BO price say of $15 isn’t low enough and it’s now $8. Happened every time from a saved draft they auto lowered my BO min price.
