Did you mean:

do you cringe when you get an ebay message?

I"ve had (more than?) my share of mistakes and can't help but cringe a little when I get a message via email.  Usually it's OK. I think maybe some people write to say they got their book because I already sent them a personal note letting them know I gave them positive feedback. I never know when I've fumbled though, until I get a complaint. (Though actually I'd rather get the email than find out later they just gave me a neg without contacting me first)

Yep @keziak, I can identify.  Every time I see that little orange bell lit up I think: "Oh geez, what now?"  😉

Yes ... and eBay has more than doubled my “cringes” with their incessant spam. I’m not interested in their Inventory Recommendations or their Items in Cart notifications and all they’ve accomplished with them is to make me dislike eBay as a company more and more each time I receive one.

I'm ̶p̶r̶e̶t̶t̶y̶ ̶s̶u̶r̶e̶ certain the lunatics have taken over the asylum.

I have to smile. I got a message the other day and felt that "sinking" feeling. But... it was another eBay seller writing to tell me that something I purchased at a garage sale for 10 cents & posted for $ 12.00 was hard to find and worth more than double what I had it listed.  It reminded me that most buyers and sellers are really great people & to focus on the positive majority rather than the few bad actors.

Usually, no news is good news. But, some news is a good offer, a great question that needs to be answed before a sale. I know what you mean though, depending on how things are going they can make you jittery.

Everytime.

Mostly for lowball offers or some buyer asking me a stupid question that is answered in the title
