I am asking for a friend....
(I got an offer for an item I viewed that he listed offering me a 20% discount.....he said he never initiated an offer on this item...it was a 3500.00 offering a 700.00 discount!)...
I recalled seeing and reviewed your earlier post for this dilemna..(sending/disabling offers automatically)
He said months ago he sent out offers on an item offering 20% off and does not recall the button (automatic) position.
Your earlier post to disable was for the previous rendition of seller hub..I saw the "update" path, but that did not remove the button position (after trying to disable, the button was still "on"... and I can't say conclusively if that 'disabled' the stupid auto offers..
is there a definitive way to check if ebay is sending automatic offers on watched items without our knowledge?
Thanks!

Let's simplify this @monica-sells .
1. Go to Seller Hub Active listings and navigate to: All Filters > Offers > Offers Sending Automatically
2. Under the Actions drop down to the left of the listing, select Review All Offers
3. On the next page select Change Offer Settings.
4. Under Send offers to buyers, click the carrot arrow on the right.
5. Toggle off the blue Automatically send offers slider. Click the blue Done button.
6. You will see status is changed to off. Click the blue Update Offer Settings button.

OK...I sent (2) myself in this order
1. Auto Button "Off"
----------------------
shows up as Sent Offer - perfect
2. Sent offer with button "On"
shows up as Offers sent automatically. and increased offer to (2)
So, your sequence works well....
Thanks!
Now, Since #2 had the button "ON" ... let's see if I send any "auto-offers" without me initiating the offer.

The setting is sticky @monica-sells so next time you send an offer you have to toggle it back to off if you don't want to use auto-send.

OK...Thanks again for your insight.....he claims he did not "manually" send anyone an offer of 20% off of this item....I talked him through the sequence and there was no entry like picture #2 above "Offers sending automatically"
I will keep an eye on him as well as my "test" items for "ghost" offers (as he called them)

Notice that is a direct link to the search filter in my above post. Send him that link. If he clicks on it and sees zero listings, that means none of his listings currently have auto-offers enabled.
Also, as demonstrated with your screenshots, that filter will only appear if there are qualifying listings.

I know the automatic offers were given new options lately, but I'm tired & can't find the posts describing that right now.
What I'm wondering about is whether those toggles on the send offer screen are no longer sticky? I inadvertently just sent several without noticing they had been toggled back on for me. After toggling them off again and sending another offer I find them back on every time now and must remember to toggle them off for each offer I send. Did I miss something important about this?

Toggles on the offer page are still sticky. If that's not working as it should for you, file a tech report by clicking the ? icon on the bottom right of the page. eBay does review those reports.
Edit: Nope, I was wrong @fern*wood . eBay changed it. No longer sticky. Now forced default on automated offers and forced default on counter offers. Sellers will have to manually toggle off every stinkin' time they send an offer. What a 💩 change!
Advice stands: click the ? icon on the bottom right of the page and either file tech report or click submit feedback.
To manage your current automated offers in bulk (which was not an option at the time the OP posted) go to: Seller Hub > Marketing > Offers
Or click this: https://www.ebay.com/sh/mktv2/offers
In case you missed my update here:
eBay gave more info on this at May 7th Seller Check In.
Watch the video when released (eBay should post it on the Announcements page within the week) if you want to see screenshots of what these changes will look like and get the full report, but highlights included:
The expansion to include all offers on dashboard, not just automated, is currently anticipated for June.
There will eventually be more controls for automated offers including the ability to set duration for automation: 1 week to 1 year or custom duration.

@fern*wood @wastingtime101 As of today, suddenly ALL my SIO's are set to BOTH Send Automated & Allow Counteroffers. Both things I have had off the entire time except for the occasional times eBay has flipped them for me. But now they are ALL ON. I sure hope they didn't get rid of the sticky setting, I haven't had a chance to test it yet to see if they'll hold from today forward when I turn them off. What a NIGHTMARE!!!
