All new sellers need to research everything they can about ALL area’s of eBay not just Selling and Listing.
.
It is not just a matter of list, sell, send - you need to learn what to do when a customer wants to return an item, (and if the seller is drop shipping this can be a headache) and what to do if a customer claims an item is not received - again a drop shippers nightmare. Research shipping costs for off shore buyers. Do a search of eBay and see what is selling well and make sure you can match the quality and prices.
I have a read a number of posts where the new seller has no idea and is getting hit with negative feedback and unresolved cases being handled by eBay (which dings a sellers account) because they do not know the processes to avoid this.

"Direct Selling" would indicate that you have items in hand. Drop shipping will only lead to problems for you.

Doing some of your own research before asking a hugely broad question on a public discussion board.

Before you can list your first item on eBay you'll need to:
Provide them with a valid credit card, debit card, or bank account information, or become PayPal verified if you're selling internationally.
Let them know how you would like to pay your seller fees.
Select the payment methods you'll accept.
Make sure your feedback profile is public
they also recommend that you become paypal verified (confirming your identity is required before you can start selling internationally on eBay. ).
You won't be able to sell on eBay if your account has been suspended.

^^^^^ None of this is correct, please do not provide misinformation.
Provide them with a valid credit card, debit card or become PayPal verified if you're selling internationally. NO PP is no longer used for seller funds - Sri Lanka will be Payoneer
Let them know how you would like to pay your seller fees. NO, seller fee's are taken by eBay before releasig seller's funds
Select the payment methods you'll accept. NO - eBay dictate the payment method used by buyer's, not the seller
Make sure your feedback profile is public YAY You got one right

The OP needs to register with Payoneer, not paypal and register their business with their country using a business account. Like you they are located in Sri Lanka.
Ebay decides the payment methods a seller accepts, NOT the seller.
In order to sell internationally, you have to complete 10 selling transactions and prove yourself as a seller. It is not automatic or a given.

Selling items that are prohibited on ebay and in other countries that violate customs. Plants, seeds, etc. come to mind. Selling counterfeit items that you purchase from China. Drop shipping from China only to find out that the item is out of stock or constant Not as described returns filed by the buyer. Items not received by the buyer. You really need to have a better understanding of how ebay works and what it entails. Many Sri lankans attend the seller school. That can be helpful to you. The best thing you can do is take in the advice of the "experienced" veteran sellers who volunteer their time to help others here and to avoid the one's who give poor or incorrect advice. They are not even sellers, just spammers. Good luck to you.

Between having to identify your self as a plane, bus or bicycle and needing to click through seven windows to log on every day you may not need the answer to your question.
The main factor in direct selling is that online sales is not direct selling. I was in direct sales for over a decade and it involved speaking to architects, business owners, stockholders and other executives over lunch and sometimes on large boats. Oh, and golf courses.
On ebay it helps to have the product in hand meaning in your warehouse ready to ship directly to the customer.
