Is it possible to completely delete an acct from Ebay? If not no wonder Ebay claims they have millions of sellers

From another post on this board, @luckythewinner quoted this : 

Last year, eBay had 132 million "active buyers" - defined as "all buyers who successfully closed a transaction on our Marketplace platform within the previous 12-month period".

So people who haven't used their accounts in a long time are not in the "millions" count.

You are assuming that Ebay counts closed accounts as active sellers, which they don't.  Which is explained when they release these numbers as to what they represent.  IDK why you would assume they had any need to inflate the number of sellers that actually use the site.  Clearly with the Billions and Billions of listings, sellers are plentiful here.

Closing and account and completely deleting an account are two different things.
