I had an item for sale, and a buyer agreed to purchase. It turns out that I am unable to find that item and want to delete the post. I have not been able to figure out how to do this. The buyer keeps getting posts to pay. Any suggestion on how to delete.

So, you had the item for sale, someone bought it and then you were unable to locate the item?
Has the buyer paid? If so, do a cancel order, with the reason being Out of Stock or Damaged.

Buyers do not “agree to purchase”, they either purchase it through the buy it now option or place a bid. Any other way goes against eBay’s terms of service.
If a buyer indeed purchases an item, you don’t delete the listing, the listing goes to your sold items.
If you agree to an off eBay sale, you may find yourself in trouble and eBay may decide to assess final value fees even if the listing didn’t end with a winning bid/BIN.

I'd keep looking for that sold item. Otherwise, you will need to cancel as out of stock, which puts a defect on your selling record. A couple like that (usually 2+ over a year) will hurt your ability to continue selling without a penalty being accessed or worse.

Go to your Items Awaiting Payment screen.
