@futuremarine2011. Most of the posters here are both, look at our feedbacks, it doesn't matter if we are sellers, buyers, or both..we are all skilled in EBay and are here to help anyone who post here, and we are doing this without any payment.

Sure, be glad to. Most of those posters are using what it called a "posting ID"....it's an ID they use for posting here, or for buying, but not for selling. Sellers can have multiple IDs, and not everyone chooses to use their selling ID here. Over the years, some of the most informed posters have been sellers using a posting ID.

The amount of feedback on one account may not necessarily be a true indication of the total feedback or experience of a user.
Some of the responders are indeed sellers, but they may use a separate account for buying and another account for selling. Some may even use a separate account just for posting.
Some users may indeed be buyers only, but may yet still have some advice worth heeding.

Because sometimes people who don't hear what they want to hear will mess with a seller's listings. Here's an ancient thread which shows that this problem is as old as the discussion boards:

Too bad you didn't get awarded a "solution" for your answer. Yours was a lot better than the one that was chosen. 😁

On another board, there is a user who has over a hundred "Solutions" on that user ID. Yet I don't recall the user ever giving any help to anyone, or even giving any "Helpfuls." The user posts frequently asking for help, though, and when what is needed is given, the user posts a brief, generic "thanks" and marks that post as "Solved." It's petty of me, and I know it, but I confess that it annoys me.

well im new to the selling board but not the selling part. i was raised to always say thank you, show gratitude and be polite. i was also brought up not to expect or request anything in return for helping someone if i was volunteering to do so. i could care less about earning my own personal badges or merits on a board where im just trying to help someone with a problem if i am able and wise enough to do so. as a grown man if im giving the free advice i would never expect anything in return or want someone to feel indebted to me just because i gave it to them. . i think helping people out should be something you do willingly and never expect anything in return, but i also know a lot of people werent raised that way. i can only do me.

We will use our buying ID rather than our selling ID for posting because sometimes you have to deliver replies that someone else doesnt want to hear - especially if they are in the wrong about their situation and would rather argue about it than resolve it. In extreme cases they have been seen to shoot the messenger by finding the person's current listings and messing around with them - fake bids or BIN with no intention of payment - or buying something and promptly leaving a Neg in the persons feedback.
Therefore it is common practice here that if you have a buying account and a selling account then you should use your buying account for posting because your sales and your selling are then protected against backlash. Hate to say that but you never know who is going to suddenly go off on another respondent.

There's a lot of good information in these threads. Just take what you need and leave the rest. Good luck.
