creating listings with variations

Can someone please help me figure out how to do this. I can find general instructions on listing with variations, but none of them seem to be working for me. I have 3 womans tops in the same size but different colors. I can get 1 of them listed with most of the variations I need but cant figure out how to then get the info for the next color. AND There is no place to list what size they are. I realize all 3 are the same size, but what if the were different? Why isn't there a size option?  I need a step by step chart to listing these.  I think I am probably not doing things in the order ebay wants.

Let's start here @louise-1953 : are you formally creating variations? Can you find them on the listing form underneath item specifics and above item description? If the answer is yes, which variations did you create so far? Can you post a screenshot?

If the answer is yes I will guide you on the size and color issue.

If the answer is no then we need to start earlier in the process.

No, I have never listed a clothing item with variations

OK so let's start from the top. You'll want to ignore that draft you created and start a new listing from scratch.

Variation listings are not supported on the app; use the website.

Variations are not supported on auction format listings; use fixed price format.

Variations are not supported on the simplified listing tool. If you're on the simplified tool you'll see a button on the top right that says "switch to business listing tool" - click on that.

By default the variation setting is hidden on the listing form. Once you unhide the setting it will stick for future listings. On the top right of the business listing tool, click the menu (3 vertical dots), select settings, and toggle the variations slider on (so it's blue).

Make sure you're creating a new listing and not using relist or sell similar from a listing without variations.

Beyond that it comes down to category; not every category supports variations.

If the category supports variations you'll find them in a non-intuitive, awkward placement on the listing form - below item specifics instead of above them. I recommend filling out variations before you enter any item specifics to avoid problems, especially for clothing when you have size variations.

Start there - then come back with any questions and feel free to @ mention me on your reply so I'm more likely to see it and come back to help.
