I just read the policy on contact because something was sent from ebay that i needed to read it. if someone buys large equipment from me, how they supposed to get it if im not allowed to send a phone number address or email. thats messed up

Once the sale is made, it is OK to exchange contact info.    It is just before the sale that contact info is not allowed.

For most transaction not a problem. However, selling large equipment I assume there can be all kinds of variables in delivery that impact cost and feasibility including what days something can be delivered and times, whether it needs to be moved into the building or is to the curb, if needs to be delivered before or after a certain date, etc.

 

ebay often creates universal rules for a marketplace that is not universal.

Once the sale has been made, buyer and seller are allowed to exchange information.

Potential buyers can write to you with all the questions they come up with as long as the two of you don't exchange contact info BEFORE the sale is complete.  A very smart person once said when a potential buyer has questions about a $1,500 item your best response is, "Hey, I've got a baseball listed for sale for $1.99."

 

If the potential buyer doesn't understand what's going on by then I guess some people can't be helped.
