I see this subject has been discussed before.
i sold an expensive item that requires a signature per PayPal rules to be eligible for PayPal seller protection. And also the insurance I plan to buy. I wrote to the buyer and told her I would be sending it with signature confirmation. I eventually heard back that she would be out of town until 12/17, so she can’t sign for it until then. My date I need to ship by is 12/12.
Am I out of the time limit if I print a label on 12/12 and date it for 12/14?
Also, didn’t quite understand what can happen if buyer doesn’t receive the item by the eBay stated time.
Thanks in advance.

I remember the napping and green claims you made to me and Trinton.

So sorry, not sure what you are referring to in this current thread? When did I communicate with Trinton? Your comment is very confusing.

No doubt. It's not in this thread.

I had a similar request 3 or 4 years ago at the exact same time of year as this, only it didn't involve signature confirmation. My buyer wanted me to hold off on mailing her item to her until the day after Christmas because she was going to be out of town until then. She also asked me if I could gift wrap it and not put any packing slip inside the package since it was going to be a gift for someone. Ugh. So I bent over backwards and did everything she requested, and what's she to reward me for my efforts? She gave me a 2 for shipping time (That was back when we could do reports to see what DSR ratings buyers gave us).
That year, and in previous years as well, I often had several other annoying requests, always during the few weeks leading up to Christmas. That's why I no longer list anything after the first week of December and I don't start up again until mid January. The month of December always brings the loonies out of the woodwork. Plus, the USPS usually gets bogged down causing shipping delays from mid December straight through mid January.
