With the loss of CLASSIC VIEW I have begun listing less items and trying other venues for sales.
Too much to go through to get to a page that i'm NOT really comfortable with in order to check my listings or sales
NO LONGER FUN

I stopped selling and buying on ebay. They have changed so much since I started selling and buying in 1997 that ebay has become unrecognizable. No longer fun and easy... Using CL and FB on the internet to sell for cash locally is working out okay for me.

You might want to try Mercari. Much easier to list.

Etsy ? Also local online auctions usually advertised on Estatesales.net or Estatesales.org , am looking also .. The deletion of the seller page , forced to negotiate has pushed me over the edge .

Not sure what CL is and I’m starting to get used to FB and local on line garage sale sites
lots of them available .. I’m a very honest person ....seller and have been on eBay selling for about 15 years..The removal of the Classic view was a BIG mistake as mentioned by others and has me listing less
yes I make a little money but it’s not the income as much as the friends I’ve met over the years and listing is not something I look forward to
as a vietnam combat veteran that used eBay as a hobby when I retired helped me a lot
NO MORE... EBay will survive and so will I .. but I will be reducing my listings as I investigate other venues
Not sure if eBay reads these and it really doesn’t matter doubt anything will change either way
historically sellers have not been supported

I can not understand
the classic is much better but hey you have to adapt to the new format

Ebay has not and never will care about their sellers. Pointless **bleep**ing anymore... Just another bunch of Indian robots with the same response when you call.

Me too. The classic view I found that I could list much faster, and easy. I enjoyed listing. With the new format view it's too clunky, some links don't work right, it's no longer fun.

If someone only sold ten items a month it really wouldn't matter. For volume it's a big difference.

you sound like an eBay employee.. Maybe just stop talking as you bring nothing to the table. I am with the poster. After 21 years of eBay, the site is at its worst. eBay doesnt care about sellers at all.
I hope that someone comes in and legally "steals" the eBay idea and comes up with a better site. Basically ebay 15 years ago........
The new view is useless. I mean I have to go through at least 3 layers just to leave feedback and I cant even easily see who left me feedback or who I need to leave it for... The new pages SHOW ME NOTHING! Its a **bleep**ed view.. and yes that is the correct word.

It do not matter if someone sold three items a month or 2,000 items a month, there are the same issues most ebay sellers going through including you, even if you don't want to admit it or not. As one other poster stated you sounds like a ebay employee. Ebay was founded on the ideal, to present a seller platform for everyday people, no mater how many items they posted. Thus, ebay lost it's way, and those like you who push ebay foolishness, only makes ebay worst for everyone.

And after 15 years of my using and enjoying EBay I find myself listing less and being on the search for other venues ... Losing interest very quickly in what used to be a well run company ... Appears greed has set in???
If anyone has any other venues please provide them .. every little bit will help
ALSO ... Think about leaving your HONEST REVIEWS .... MAYBE SOMEONE WILL GET THEM BACK ON TRACK

I don’t see how some posters do not realize that adapting can mean no longer selling on eBay.
That’s the route we chose.
So far, we have made more on another venue.
We have a lot less work & hassle.
Yes, we adapted.

Almost 1.5 years later after your original post in 2021 and you are still selling on eBay - hmmm - guess you foudn some of that Dr. Feel Good along the way

So you're saying to go to Ebid? They have been around for 20 years and the only customers are the sellers. It could have been a good platform, but the owner seems to be happy with just collecting a lifetime membership fee and not advertising. You would be lucky to sell 2 items in a 1 year period.
