changing listing format, with watchers

If I have a BIN listing with watchers, and I end it and relist as an auction, will I lose the watchers, or do they get notified of the new listing? Thanks.

You lose all your watchers whenever you end any listing.

there may be an option to send that listing to "auction". Seems that watches should remain, but can not confirm that.

Re: changing listing format, with watchers

Whoever is watching the listing will get an email from eBay stating "The item you've been watching has been relisted" with a link to the new listing, so you can end and relist, and you won't lose interested watchers.

Re: changing listing format, with watchers

As noted, the Watchers will not carry over to the new listing. But if the original listing is still in their Watch list, it will show a link to the relisted item.

In your site preferences under Communication is a notifications options checklist which includes an option for "Watched item relisted," but I don't recall whether the default is to receive them or not. Either way: some of your lost watchers will be notified about the relist and others will not.
