I have listings of car repair manuals with variations, allowing buyers to choose different cars/years. I had a buyer purchase a book tonight and the listing had 2 choices. One book sold several weeks ago, leaving the other one. That book was just purchased, but the buyer wrote as a message to the seller that he wanted the other book.
I explained this through eBay messages, but haven't heard back yet. I told him that he had to make a choice on the listing and that wasn't a choice he could make. I know I have to cancel, but it isn't my error. I am not out of stock because it showed as unavailable to the buyer and he 'chose' it by saying he wanted it! My only choice is buyer requested. Technically he didn't (yet). I don't want a defect and I don't want a negative. Please offer some advice.
