Hi there,
I am a new seller on eBay, and I have received a request from a buyer for a bulk order .
As I am new to eBay, I am concerned about whether there are any restrictions on receiving such a large payment through my account. Could you please clarify if eBay has any limitations for a seller like me on receiving this amount, or if there are any actions I should take to ensure smooth processing of the transaction?

First are you registered for Managed Payments?
EBay needs your SSN and checking account information to transfer any customer payments to your bank.
Then, while payments are transferred on Tuesdays, you have to ship immediately. However until you've been selling for 90 days and sold 25 items your payments will be held until tracking shows delivered, or in 30 days if there's no tracking. They can hold the payment for the full 30 days if you're selling in a high risk category.
That being said, once the customer has paid, you have to ship.
Since you are in Sri Lanka and selling (successfully! Congratulations!) using Payoneer for payment, most US sellers would not be able to help you with advice on payment since we don't use that in North America.
How large is large? $100 ? $1000?

In addition to what reallynicestamps has already mentioned about the payment, shipment and a potential hold being placed on your payout given the items you sell make sure you are in compliance with the import laws of whatever country you are shipping the items to. The last thing you want to have happen with a large order is to have it seized by customs for violation of import laws.
