If you look for books on ebay do you like seeing a condition note right in the title? Like "new" or "very good" or even "ex-library". Some of the mega-sellers do that and when I am shopping I appreciate not having to dip into listings to see the condition. I'm going to try harder to include that in my titles as much as feasible.

The more descriptive, the better. It's hard getting people to scroll down to read the full description but this way they have no excuse to say "SNAD." I'm always grateful for the extro info when I'm shopping, so good on you for trying!
Frankly I love ex-library books because they usually have the Brodart covers and that spares my books a LOT of coffee and drink rings. Nothing saves them from my dog who is apparently frustrated at her lack of reading ability. On the other hand, both copies were Dummies books about Rotties, so maybe it was an editorial comment on her part.
I wish more the folks would go through their books and note whether or not a CD or patterns pages are missing from the book or edition. I've only got stuck a few times like that that not here, the river. Then I went hunting here to get a copy that HAD the missing items.
Keep up the good work!

As a buyer, as long as the condition is in the condition box and description, I'm good. I actually read the descriptions.
As a seller, the only condition I will put in the title is ex-library. That can be a deal breaker if I'm buying strictly for my collection. If I'm buying just for myself to read, condition is less of a factor, and ex-lib is fine. I assume most buyers are the same.
We seem to be getting closer and closer to a situation where nobody is responsible for what they did but we are all responsible for what somebody else did. - Thomas Sowell

I also buy books here just to read and go for the lowest price unless the book is really trashed. But the books I sell are largely in much nicer condition and I hope to catch the buyer who wants a better quality book. I do sell ex-library books though, but haven't put that in the titles.

None of the megasellers who are my competition do it. I always do.
However, I do not grade anything as Like New/Mint any longer, even tho I sell a lot of that condition. The highest I go is VG. I undergrade for the most part.

I sell & buy books. I like to see the actual book in the photo, not a stock photo. The more description the better is a plus too. I really don't care if the condition is listed in the title, as I said I want to see photos of the book so I know what I'm getting.
