I have been a seller on Ebay for 20 years with over 20000 sales without even a nevative or nuetral until i was suddenly hospitalized about 2 years ago for about 6 months, at that time i had a store open and at that time i was in no condition to put it on hold and to be honest i was having trouble even knowing my name at the time, While i was hospitalized my store was still open and some items were purchased and were not shipped, i had some un-resolved cases, when i was better i tried to do what i could with ebay but my account was suspended, after talking to ebay they didnt care that i have been a honest seller for 20 years
I guess this means nothing, after my last email with them they said i have to prove i was in the hospital my releasing my medical records and showing hospital bills , well i live in Canada so my health care is paid for so i have no hospital bills. And to be honest who has the right to ask for my medical records as this is very personal information, i wouldnt even let my closest friends see this, Another point here in canada its not that easy to get your medical records with a long delay and a large cost to do so, I was will to give Ebay notorized letters from my employer and family to state what happened, It is sad that a honest ebayer who had a bad situation happen cant sell on a place he has done a good portion of his life and doing so with Integrity and with pride

Was OP banned?
He has one item listed, so maybe he is making his way back to ebay.

Seems like that answer from brian.t will open a can of worms...
Other than a black & white answer should be sent to Tier 2.
Set-of-the-pants policy answers that are WRONG seem acceptable...until they're not.
Is this a lack of personnel issue?Hi @nawlinsron2, I apologize if I miss the heart of your question. There are times when mistakes may be made, but we absolutely will work to resolve this when it is brought to our attention. In the OP's situation, I've sent appropriate coaching to the agents involved to ensure they provide accurate information and steps in similar situations going forward. The appropriate teams have also reviewed the suspension and are updating @tccollect99. If you have any specific questions I missed then please let me know and I'll be happy to offer more clarity.
Brian, just want to thank you! In a company as large as Ebay, inevitably there will be issues that may need to be addressed as far as training.
I understand that these issues may arise, especially as it takes time for reps to become seasoned and experienced. But as this post indicates, that can be somewhat frustrating when you contact CS.
Considering an issue based on the facts may need to be done as well.
Thank you again for your help, Brian!

You could try one of the other sites but I think you will find ebay is the one with the traffic and the higher selling prices. I know~~I tried one years ago and there wasn't much traffic there and my items only sold for a fraction of what they sold for on ebay. I came back to ebay vowing to never leave again. Ebay is still the place to sell and the place to buy and I don't believe anyone is going to come along and drive them out of business.
I don't believe ebay is all for the buyer. I've had many situations where I have had cases ruled in my favor and the buyer has lost. If I loose I know deep down ebay made a fair decision~~I know what battles to fight and what battles not to fight.
And that is very wise of you, kat, to know what battles to fight and what battles not to fight; not everyone may grasp that, sadly. For example, sellers who have a listing removed, and they defiantly relist it until they are suspended.
It happens.

My last one that upset me somewhat was trying to get a neg removed from a buyer who said I used so much bubble wrap it caused him to slice off the power cord to the knife sharpener while removing it from the bubble wrap. Ebay wouldn't remove the feedback~~they said that what the buyer did wasn't very smart but his feedback did pertain to the way I packed it. After some thought I had to agree that my packing it in too much bubble wrap was his complaint~~the rest was stupidity.

Oh, Kat, I remember that! That is a Board classic.
So sorry that happened to you!
I recall someone said that floor models come like that, with the cord off, and they speculated that he had one of those and wanted to send it back to you.
I don't know if he returned it to you or not. A lot of bubble wrap is a good thing~just be careful when opening!
Many won't take the blame when they do something wrong. Easier to blame the seller.

One thing I didn't agree with the rep about was~~she told me that if he filed a not as described because the cord was cut off I would have to accept the return and pay return shipping. He didn't file any case but I think I would have fought that as he admitted HE cut the cord off. That rep was nuts if she thought I would have to accept the return in that condition.
I've won cases where buyers admit taking items apart~~I think I would win one with these circumstances as well.

Well, you had proof there, certainly! Not careful in unpacking it and removing bubble wrap.
Thank you, now we know the rest of the story!
Again, so sorry that happened to you...frustrating I am sure.

Nobody will come along to displace ebay? Ha! W--M--t is going to mop the floor with ebay in mainstream consumer products. Ebay has spent so much time and resources trying to crack this market segment (rather than bolster and enhance the niche areas that made it a powerhouse) that when this happens -- it surely will; those guys may be from Arkansas, but they're smart -- ebay will have little on which to fall back and will fall farther down the food chain. Cause and effect. It will be tougher, if not impossible, for WM to depose AMZ, but with 63 distribution centers, compared to two, they can make huge inroads.

You know what they say about stupidity. You can't fix it.
But you can sedate it. LOL

Do you realize how many ebay sellers are ALREADY WM drop ship sellers? They sell WM items on ebay (including large appliances), order from WM and items are delivered to buyers with free shipping. Ebay and pay pal get their cut on the sales. WM isn't going to take ebay down~~they already have it made with ebay sellers selling their online items.

You have 1 item listed. Did ebay reinstate your account?
