I have 60yrs worth of auto memorabilia to sell in my private collection, will there be any problems selling this on E bay. I see sellers being shut down for lack of receipts....This is a life time of me collecting these items, there are no receipts. Thank you for your suggestion in advance.

Receipts are usually asked for new type higher end items; not collectables.
You do need to know that you will have 'limits' on the $ amount you can list and then up to a 30 day 'hold' on your funds after a sale, until you become 'reputable'. You also will want to be 'already set up' with an approved checking account for $ to be deposited to (it's not done any other way here) and you will have to give them id and ss#.

No you don't need receipts other than for tax purposes as cost deductions. If you sell over $600 you will get a 1099 .

@Anonymous
I've personally seen many many threads started by members who were 'suspended' or on 'permanent vacation' and cannot list or edit until they submit receipts to eBay. It's the 'anti-theft' program and usually hits sellers that go from 10mph to 100mph in a short time, selling higher dollar multiples of 'new' items (NEW being the key word)
