anyone having trouble with best offers not being allowed by buyers?

A buyer e-mailed me to say their best offer was not allowed even though my item is listed with that option. Anyone else having this issue?

Are you sure their meaning of "not allowed" was not "declined" due to being too low? If it was a new ebay member they may not understand the process.

I guess there is also a possibility that ebay is limiting their ability to send offers......perhaps too many non payments, etc.  I know some buyers can't bid on items for that reason........they can only do immediate payments.......

Tell the buyer to send their offer in an email.....you should be able to respond with an offer.......likewise if their offer is acceptable, you could just lower the price on the item...........

He might have been blocked by something in your Site Preferences, such as too many nonpayment strikes or living in a location that you don't ship to.

I think maybe the buyer was blocked or they didn't know how to use Make offer. You can ask them whether they see the Make offer button or not.
