How can I add a short message to all my hundreds of listings' item descriptions without doing it one by one? I have been getting some feedback that USPS deliveries of won auction items are slow to arrive and I want to add a note to all my listings explaining the new problems that USPS is having, and that the mail will get through, even if it takes a couple extra days. How can I do this?

You can go to 'my ebay', then 'active' and click the top box, which checkmarks all items for sale. Then 'edit' selected (Or all) and the edit 'description'. This verbiage will go at the bottom of any written information you already have.
But...know 3 things
1.) 90% of packages arrive on time-so alarming customers for no reason is not retail wise.
2.) You cannot 'erase' this easily, you would have to do it one item at a time (bad for GTC BIN items)
3.) Many buyers don't bother reading descriptions for them to see this anyway.

Hi - I list very little but worry about the same issue. I try to excel as a seller. Too many buyers seem to think the seller is responsible for the USPS. Maybe send them an email when you ship to let them know it is shipped & tell them you hope the mail is not slow in their item reaching them. At least that is what I do in a way, except I ship priority mail now, but realize it is not practical a lot of times.

eBay sellers are responsible for the timely delivery of items to a buyer. Period.

eBay already sends buyers a message when an item ships. They don't need a second one from the seller--especially one that mentions something that hasn't even happened.

As someone said, you can bulk edit the listings, but it won't be as easy to remove it.
Frankly, I wouldn't bother. ebay recently stated that the majority of buyers now use mobile, which displays only a snippet of the description, and the vast majority of buyers do NOT click through to read the entire description.
So, the odds are very, very high that most buyers will never read the message anyway.
