active until sold

I have been a member since 1999 and just ended all my listings because of the active until sold feature.  With this feature ebay renews and charges you automatically if you do not end the listing on the 29th day even if you do not want to relist it.

A new policy went into effect on July 1st where what ever date you started your listing it will renew the next month on the same date.  This new policy takes away the double listings possible fee.  No worries moving forward.

Technically it is called Good 'Till Canceled, but otherwise your description of how it works is accurate.

It was first announced in the seller updates in February, and many times since. It has also been discussed extensively on this board.

Not very many sellers are happy about it, but most people seems to be setting a reminder for themselves to end listings.

Except for sellers like me who do not want their listings to renew at all.

I want to change what item I offer each month, without losing that last day 'bump' from ending soonest and without having to look at a calendar and a clock in order to babysit my account.
