This is weird. We have 167 items in our eBay store (We're Vintage) and suddenly our sales dropped to ZERO for the last 6 days with one offer by a low baller. The previous average for 6 days was around $350.00, not a lot, but something. Obviously we have some none trendy crap, but they sell too. Our 30% off storewide sale ended 2 day ago, so even considering that, there is four days with ZERO sales. Is that possible, even in this economy? Is there some monkey business going on?

It's because of eBay's new policies. Views from bots are no longer counted, even though bots help boost exposure.

It is the middle of the vacation season so one should expect slow sales, especially with only 167 items listed. By the way, my sales have also been rather morbid since the 4th and I have far more items listed than yourself.

It's been pure insanity for weeks. This no-sales nonsense is driving me to Etsy as of this weekend.

I quit Etsy because it was dead in the water.

@cyberontix Months here, not weeks ...

Income 22,000 last June and have 9,500 this June. Guird up, usually it's not a short season when sales slip that much. Good luck and find ways in this time to improve your business when you have more time than money. Clothing has more and more competition always and expect that won't change. I get better at getting items and how I sell but nothing beats supply which has always increased here and with increasing sites doing the same thing eBay does.

So, I've actually also had decrees in sales..... In the last months. BUT I've done about 300% in the last few days. **bleep** happens. LET GO!!!!!!

How are your sells the last 3 days? Mine have been off the hook.

Summer time is typically slower than other times of the year - this year there is more money being spent on life essentials - gasoline, food, higher utility bills ( been real hot over a very large part of the US) etc. plus folks are on vacation = less discretionary funds. Sales activity has never been steady day in day out but more like the movement of a yo-yo - full of ups an downs.
Maybe you need to diversify you product offerings by adding items that appeal to a larger market - IMO old vintage stuff appeals only to a small segment of the total.buyers - the younger generation like in their mid 30s "vintage" stuff is not appealing.

Yes, it's possible unfortunately - I am going on day 4 no sales...

It's Day 13 with NO sales for me!!! I did have one on June 29th but since I LOST money on that one, I don't even count it. Something has been seriously WRONG since mid-May that needs correcting and I believe that it's a tech issue. We can keep trying until the cows come home BUT if something is broken, it won't do us any good!!!

You are not alone. Many are experiencing very low sales. Say some prayers this is getting really rough folks.

Yeah, this is not normal at all. This is the first year we have seen some really dramatic changes and summer is always terrible here for some things .

No monkey business at all... Online/Ecommerce sales across the board(all ecommerce sites) are down roughly 30%.

Yes, it is possible especially now. Buyers are fearful of the economy so they are buying what they need, not necessarily what they want. Vintage collectible items fit squarely in the "want" category so things like food, gas, heat, rent take a front seat.
That isn't to say that there isn't "monkey business" going on with eBay but IMO at least 90% of the reason for low sales is the economy and political toxicity going on now.
