After 21 years of selling on eBay I receive the following message for the FIRST time:
Your seller performance status is at risk in the US.

First thing to to study your Seller Dashboard and determine the exact reason your performance is "at risk".
For most things it's all in the math, the more things you sell going forward while avoiding any more issues the faster you will have a cushion and maintain your status.
FYI - Feedback is not used at all to determine seller levels
FYI - Dropping to Above Standard on it's own is not really that meaningful

This means that you received a defect or other metrics hits that might drop your seller status from TRS to Above Standard or Below Standard. Feedback has nothing to do with it.
Under Seller Level --> Look at your Transaction Defect Rate, Late shipment rate, Tracking uploaded on time and validated, Cases closed without seller resolution. You may find your answer there.

I will be losing my top rated seller rating because of the policy of 100 transactions and $1,000 in sales over a 12 month period. I had close to $2000 in sales, but only 95 transactions. No defects - No late shipments - just no sales:-).
Best wishes and success in this new year!

That hurts. Ebay should evaluate their standards differently. I have noticed in my dash board too just because someone didn't like the item but instead of honesty they chose wording like "used", or "broken".
I have a Pack and Ship store and we sells all the carrier including USPS and this year USPS got a big hit due to corona virus, some customer are crying saying they didn't get the packages and not moving from the last tracking center. Hold time in USPS is crazy. This issue is huge and fact, Therefore, ebay shouldn't hold you liable for this? It is not your fault .
I hope they will work with you.

Thanks everyone! I was able to request that eBay remove a couple of the transaction defects which helped me keep my Top Seller status. I appreciate all of the comments! Happy Monday! 🙂

Boy that seems like something easy to fix. You can list a couple of spoons on ebay for 99c. I think one of your friends is looking for some spoons.

Ebay doesn't care about loyal sellers. I was lowered from Top Rated Seller to Above Standard only because I don't have quite enough transactions. I sell high dollar items, but have less sales transactions. I sold more well above $25,000 with zero defect or late shipments, and they're dropping my seller rating. I also buy $15,000 or more per year.
Someone that sells 100 $10 items would have higher rating than me. Total **bleep**. I spoke to them and they can't change the policy. I'm done with Ebay. I just took down all my auctions.

eBay doesn't care about sellers. Yes, absolutely

Hi I am in the same scenario and I have defects from a year ago before I started getting serious, how do I contact eBay to cut me some slack?

This is a pretty old thread and it looks like they got the problem solved.
However if you are having problems you can reach out on social media via FB:

These are US CS agents who work for Ebay and have been known to be very helpful. Many positive results posted here on these boards. Give it a try and see if it works out for you. Hopefully it will.
Good luck!
