Like clockwork, every Sunday evening we get messages on every account that our items are in carts and we should make the deal or "eyes" are on our items, etc.! Does this sound familiar to anyone? If it happened randomly and NOT the same day every week I might think it was realistic ... opposed to just another sales ploy to entice Sellers to lower their price ... lower their price ...lower their price ...lower their price ... lower their price ... lower their price ... lower their price ... lower their price ... lower their price ... lower their price ... lower their price ...

The messages are generated by bots and they are not accurate.
You cannot base good business decisions on inaccurate information.

I have found the emails to be helpful at times. If I see that and item has some watchers, and I want to make some sales faster I will lower the prices and at times it has created a sale. Mostly, I will lower prices on certain items if I am in some type of competition for that item. I monitor prices quite frequently all over the web and base my prices here on that as well.

You don't need once-a-week inaccurate (out of date) emails to tell you if you have watchers.
All you have to do is go to your Listings and look at the Watchers column. If you want to sort that column to bring the ones with most watchers to the top, just click on the label and it will rearrange it.
Don't see a Watchers column on your Listing list? Just click the Customize link top-right and add it.
This gives you better information than those out-of-date and sometimes completely wrong emails.

You realise of course you're talking about a company who constantly uses what they believe to be "industry standard" as their criteria for all kinds of actions?
