I am a small volume seller and one of my buyers notified me today that her package's, which was shipped by me 6 days ago, USPS tracking number states "Your item is available for pickup by the returns agent" at MY local USPS location and has not moved at all since I dropped it off 6 days ago.
I'm going to check with the USPS in the morning but in the meantime I was wondering if anybody has ever had this happen and what was the cause?
Thanks,
Lyndie

Never had that one happen before. Go to the PO and find out.
Did you send something media mail that should have been retail or priority?

It sounds like your package was mis-scanned. "Available for pickup by the returns agent" is for packages that were returned using a store-provided pre-paid label or have a return-service-requested designation. Which has nothing to do with your package. The post office has made a mistake and should help you get back on track.

if you use the contact form from USPS website a supervisor from your PO will call next day.

Not media mail. It was a First Class package and was shipped from our local annex along with a couple of other packages. I watched her scan them all in.
I'll let you guys know what comes of it.
Thank you!

"16 AVAILABLE FOR RETURNS AGENT
A shipping partner or their agent responsible for transporting the item to USPS dropped it at the wrong USPS facility."
Yeah...I'd be calling your PO pronto. Someone screwed up.
