Your fee increase at work: New messaging to bilk and strengthen customer loyalty

BOLO for a fresh barrage of diligently-crafted email from eBay, e.g.:

You have a new estimated delivery date. More details on your order tracking page.

(According to tracking, the item hasn't even left the origin city yet.)

There is no fee increase. Sure is a glut of misinformation these days.

I do not think this is a new message. I have gotten similar ones before ... I think when the item I bought was not "immediate payment required".

That aside ...

Are you saying you were forced to read this email before checking out?  Or just that you chose to read this email, and doing so required you to switch to your email account?

When I commit to buy, sometimes I go to checkout right away, and sometimes I have to waiting hours or even days for the seller to send an invoice before I check out. So I doubt the fact that this arrived while you were in checkout was really something eBay could detect and avoid.

I know but I wanted to know what the OP was seeing that made them think there was a fee increase.  That way we could discuss whatever it is so they could better understand it.

There is always misinformation out there.
