And they immediately vanish.  I give, I just want to sell it all and quit.  But I'm getting item specifics removed, swirling circles that never want to stop....

Same. My favorite part is how the item specifics that I put in yesterday are not only blank again, but have also turned into manually added fields that I have to DELETE.

I have 2 full days of my life that I'll never get back. I'm officially giving up.

Started with 500-600 or so that I thought were affected.  Some how it has morphed to every category we have it seems.  Like a seismic shift.

I am also having this same frustration. I normally list sports cards all day every day any time I have a break. Well this week I have listed like 5, because of the constant changes eBay keeps implementing. No way in hell I am individually editing 1700+ items. Bulk editing will not work because not all items are identical (obviously). I am giving it another day or so to see if they fix the glitches, WHICH IS PRETTY MUCH EVERY CHANGE THEY MADE THIS WEEK. So so so frustrating.

I've been saying this all over the forum, I just don't get why?? I literally have 1000 cards to list, photos taken, all ready to list, but I just do not have the time now to fill in 50 item specifics (for sports cards at least), so instead of listing probably 50+ by today this week, I have listed 5. This only hurts them, does not help them make more money at all. And buyers are complaining now too because they can't find anything by searching. It's just mind boggling.

I too have the same problems. The constant swirling "thinking circles", a recently adjusted specific not "saved" correctly. Non-Graded cards getting treated like they are graded. Item condition not being accepted, card lots or sets treated like individual cards. Item specifics that have nothing to do with that particular card or set being required. Right now I only have about 20 items that "need" item specifics modified, or "added". I feel for the sellers that have thousands of listings and several hundred to thousands of listings that are marked for adding specifics.

Ebay is constantly trying to fit huge square pegs into tiny round holes, and medium triangular pegs into thin wavy line holes/slots. It is as if Ebay is staffed with only CEOs making decisions without checking with anyone in marketing or sales, or customer support. I often feel the same way when filling out surveys. When I want a survey to ask specific questions an allow me to give essay style questions they only give short generic questions that are yes or no, sometimes those scale of 1 to 10 worst to best with no chances for comments.

Item specifics sure are great when you are shopping. I like to know if that listing I see that has a picture that shows a whole shelf full of boxes is for a full set, a full box, or just a handful of loose packs. I also prefer seeing BOTH sides of a card I am potentially buying. And not a stock photo either, or a single front picture of a sample card from the set. Many sellers make errors and sometimes forget to change a photo for their item or they don't change their title correctly and the description doesn't match the title or the photo.

I manually added "soon to be required item specifics" to 160 items this morning.  This evening, 100 of them were back without any of the hours' worth of editing I performed this morning.  Ugghhh...And eBay's feedback form about this process does NOT work because you have to choose from Very Unsatisfied to Very Satisfied before your comments will be submitted.  These choices do NOT work.  So, not feedback sent. Just going around in circles.  I suppose I should be happy this is not being changed right during the holiday selling season in the last quarter of the year. (eBay's typical time to mess with things.)

I may have to take four drinking hour lunches.  The questions are getting out of control.  Year made, who made it, How big is it, what's it made of, who would use it, how do you clean it and my favorite---THERE ISN'T ONE.  what style is it?  What is it used for?

I haven't had too many but I do KNOW that I have added these ALL before and now they are magically gone!  Whatever they are doing is also causing me to NOT MAKE SALES!  Everytime they change things, I lose money!  Just PLEASE TEST YOUR CHANGES BEFORE THEY ARE IMPLEMENTED!  Do not use your sellers as your beta testers!  We have to duplicate work, over and over and over again!  

Just please give our stores visibility instead of making needless changes!

It's not just you, divwido. eBay's site is riddled with bugs that change over time. The best solution I can offer is to wait until tomorrow and try updating just one or two items. If it still doesn't work, try again another day. Don't bother expending a lot of effort until you see a couple update stick.

I worked for a few hours tonight.  Progress (if that is what this is) is really slow.

I'm having a bit of a different problem. I spent time yesterday adding the required specifics to 50 listings and today those listings are back, BUT they saved the information. I list mostly books and the two that almost never have an answer are Type and Genre.
