You can cancel your listing but you may get a demerit for that. However if your auction ends and buyer receives something not as described it will work against you anyways. Best to take a small hit now and cancel in order to make your changes- but it's up to you to decide.
Auction-style listings
What you change in an auction-style listing depends on how much time is left on the listing.
With bids:
You can:
Add a second category, unless there are category restrictions (fees may apply)
Add to the item description
Add photos
Add optional listing upgrades to increase your item's visibility
You can't:
Change the listing format
Change the listing duration
Change the starting price
Edit the listing description

its best to just end the auction.you will have to pay a fee for canceling bids but thats it.
always better to figure it out sooner than later and just relist with correct pictures
when you end an auction you have 2 choices, to cancel bids and end it or sell to the highest bidder and end it

You can't change the listing after it has received bids (even if you cancel the bids) so you need to try to end the auction.
If the auction has more than 12 hours left, you can cancel it and end with no sale. When you start the process of ending the auction, you'll be given the choice between (1) sell to the high bidder; or (2) cancel bids and end with no transaction. If you choose option 2, you will be charged a final value fee anyway; this is eBay's way of discouraging sellers from abusing this option. The first such cancellation per year is free.

If the auction has less than 12 hours left, you can't end it (except to sell to the high bidder) but you can still cancel the individual bids and hope that there's no last-second bid with a winner.

...n
There is no defect point or other demerit for ending an auction early. Jut the final value fee penalty if you do it more than once in a year.
