Did you mean:

Wow what a difference!

I don't call PayPal much but i just got off the phone with PayPal customer service.  I assume it was a US based gentleman. He spoke perfect English. He was intelligent.  Had a great personality. We had a little friendly banter.  He  understood and answered my question in about 30 seconds.  What a great experience!

Why can't ebay have that?

I bet they would spend a lot less time on each call if they did.

They probably do.......but the people that experience the good service don't think about posting about it......

So when is the wedding??

Just kidding. 😄

Why can't ebay have that... hmmm... oh yeah, because they don't care. 🙂 Haha.

The guy you talked to probably makes $15 an hour, and ebay would rather pay 5 illiterate foreigners each $3 an hour to do a terrible job instead. I would be willing to bet Ebay gets a ton more calls than Paypal too so they have to have 10x as many people answering phones, even if they are useless...

Re: Wow what a difference!

I haven't had to contact ebay very often, but that's been pretty much my experience with all the reps I've dealt with over the last few years.

Sorry, apparently that would violate current policy & practice

Re: Wow what a difference!

Perhaps, no longer being connected to ebay, they are no longer using the out-sourced CSRs?

Not saying 'NO' doesn't mean 'YES'.

The foolishness of one's actions or words is determined by the number of witnesses.

Perhaps if Brains were described as an APP, many people would use them more often.

Re: Wow what a difference!

I think you are being far too generous on what you think is the hourly pay in India or the Philippines.  In the Philippines customer service reps make about $1.90 an hour, and in India it's about two bucks an hour.

But otherwise I'd say that you're 'spot-on'.

Be sure to tell us if you get invited to the wedding.  😂

Yea. Every time I talk with eBay it’s either in Utah or Texas. Despite speaking fluent English, I can’t say all of them are pleasant but most are. Just yesterday I was talking to a rep about a problematic buyer and said “he called me a scam”. The rep chuckled and said, “Yea everything is a scam to lots of buyers these days. It doesn’t matter what you do.” And at the end of the call he says “have a good rest of your day. And don’t scam people, it’s bad haha.”
